I decided to write this post after replying to a DM past ‘normal’ working hours the other night and comparing this to the absolute non existent customer service I’ve received from companies and brands over the years.

Yet we continue to buy from them despite having zero after sales care and it being virtually impossible to reach anyone to get answers about anything. Clicking on Contact Us page just to keep getting redirected to a chat bot who then can’t even help us anyway. It’s beyond frustrating.

I mean maybe they have the right idea, my partner is forever telling me I need to have boundaries with work but running my own business means I mostly don’t ever clock off.

I want to give the best customer service I can do, I want to be invested in my customers and remember their milestones and I genuinely care so much if they’re happy with their jewellery.

I’m sure I’m not the only person running a business who thinks like this and I just wanted to show the contrast between small and big businesses and the thought put behind all that we do.

The Victorians cared more about beauty than rarity 💙

At the first glance, this looks like a sapphire and diamond ring.

But the vivid blue centre stone is actually paste, chosen intentionally for its colour rather than its value.

Today, paste is often misunderstood as an imitation gemstone. In Victorian jewellery, it was more nuanced than that.

Jewellers sometimes used paste because it could achieve a depth and intensity of colour that natural stones couldn’t always provide at the time.

The goal was visual effect, balance, and beauty above all else.

A reminder that antique jewellery does not always follow modern ideas of what makes a piece valuable.

This stunning Victorian old cut diamond and blue paste in 18ct gold is now available on our website and in our Leeds shop. Tap the tag for more details 💙

This brooch belonged to a world about to disappear.

This Edwardian rose cut diamond bar brooch was made during the final years of a very different era. A world where life moved slowly. A world of candlelit dinners and handwritten letters.

Whoever first wore this bar brooch could never have imagined what the decades ahead would bring.

Even within a few years, the world around them would shift completely.

Rose cut diamonds feel especially connected to that time. Softer and less brilliant than modern cuts, they were designed for gentle lighting.

Over a century later, this brooch still carries a small part of that world in it.

Available now online and in our Leeds shop 💎

The kind of ring you never take off. 💙

Not because it’s the biggest or the boldest, but because it becomes part of your everyday life.

This is the sort of ring that works with everything, feels right in every season, one you never get bored of seeing on your finger.

This super pretty antique sapphire and diamond ring has that kind of balance. A stunning blue sapphire, old cut diamonds, and delicate proportions that feel elegant without trying too hard.

Some rings are made to stand out for a moment.

Others are the ones that stay on your hand for decades.

If you want to find out more about this antique sapphire and diamond ring tap the link in the comments to the website or if you’re local to Leeds pop into the shop to see it in the flesh! 💙

Choose your favourite antique diamond cluster ring 💎💖💍

All three of these antique old cut diamond cluster rings are classic examples of the cluster style but which one do you prefer?
1. Art Deco diamond cluster with diamond shoulders
2. Edwardian ‘snowflake’ cluster ring
3. Classic Edwardian Daisy diamond cluster ring

All three are available to buy with the first two listed on the website and I’m yet to list the third as I’m currently suffering from tonsillitis (again 😫😫) so a bit behind on listing all my lovely new pieces.

Do please DM me for any info 💖
