❤️ ANOTHER EVENTFUL WEEK HERE AT ❤️

It’s certainly been another eventful week here at Mosaic Boutique, and I wanted to give you all a little update on what’s been happening.

On Monday, I was admitted to hospital yet again to have another drain, where they removed a staggering 17.5 litres of fluid from my stomach. 😢

I honestly cannot tell you how relieved I was to finally have the procedure done so quickly this time.

I was originally booked in for my usual blood tests and flush to start another month of chemotherapy. During this visit, we also had the opportunity to speak with the CEO of the cancer ward for around an hour about the issues we raised the previous week, when I was left waiting for four days and had my procedure cancelled three days in a row after being told to make myself available.

The pain and discomfort were indescribable, and no words can truly explain how I felt during those days. 💔

Thankfully, this week was a very different experience, and I was seen immediately, which came as a huge surprise and relief.

At 4pm on Monday, I was taken down for the procedure, and the drain was removed on Tuesday before my chemotherapy.

After having 14 litres drained last time, and now a further 17.5 litres this week, you can only imagine the pressure and strain that amount of fluid puts on your body and internal organs.

I’m now booked in again for another procedure in 10 days’ time, as it looks like this may be an ongoing situation. Unfortunately, it’s not a pleasant experience, as the procedure is carried out while I’m awake, using a screen to guide the doctors and help ensure my organs aren’t injured.

But we keep going, one day at a time. ❤️

Now, let’s bring a little sparkle and normality back into the week! ✨🛍️

💗 HAPPY THURSDAY, LADIES & GENTS! 💗

We hope you’ve all had a good week! ❤️

Just a little reminder that there will be NO tonight, Thursday 15th October at 7.30pm as we are taking a much-needed rest during my week off chemotherapy. ❤️

Unfortunately, I think the fluid has returned in my stomach, which means I may have to undergo the procedure all over again. It’s something I’m absolutely dreading, as the last time was incredibly painful. The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic so they can locate the fluid and insert the drain into the correct area.

Please bear with us while we navigate this incredibly challenging time.
We are doing our very best to continue bringing you fabulous clothing, accessories and the service you deserve in the run-up to Christmas. 🎄❤️

It’s been one hell of a year for us both, particularly with my health, and last week’s unexpected four-day hospital admission was another huge shock.

It’s so frustrating because, although the treatment is making me feel extremely unwell, the actual cancer is continuing to decrease and shrink with every scan.
You can only imagine how difficult it is to deal with the side effects of treatment while receiving such incredibly positive news about the cancer itself.

But we have to keep a strong, positive and proactive mindset. Otherwise, this illness could take over my life, and I am absolutely NOT going to let that happen! 💪❤️

The breaks we’ve been taking have helped me enormously to recover and prepare myself for the next stage of treatment. Unless you’ve been through something like this yourself, it’s almost impossible to put into words just how physically and emotionally demanding it can be.

Despite everything, we are determined to keep going, stay positive and continue doing what we love. ❤️

Well ladies & gents, I’ve had a week from hell. ❤️

It all started Monday morning when I went in for my usual weekly flush & bloods, and unfortunately things then went from bad to worse.

By Thursday lunchtime, I had to have my stomach drain done as an emergency, which meant leaving Jason in the lurch big time for the tonight. 😔

But I have to say a massive THANK YOU to every single person who tuned in tonight.
I was watching from my hospital bed on Ward 201, and I could genuinely feel all the love and support coming through to me. ❤️

After one of the worst weeks of my life, it really does mean the absolute world to me.

Thankfully, it’s drained now, and I’ve already started to feel so much more comfortable since it was taken out at 7:30pm this evening.

A huge thank you to everyone who has taken the time to message, phone, check in and genuinely be concerned about my wellbeing. Your kindness means more than you will ever know. 🥹❤️

I honestly couldn’t do it without Jason and this absolutely fabulous family of followers.
You are all incredible.

Monday I went for my scan results and was given the very good news that my tumours are significantly reducing. ❤️

I’ve also been told that I only have another 2 rounds of the chemotherapy I’m currently on, which is such a relief because the tablets are making me so nauseous and sick — you have no idea!

The 2 months of chemotherapy after that will be IV chemotherapy through my PICC line once a week, which is music to my ears! 🎶

But after receiving such great news, I then found out that I have fluid in my stomach, which needs to be addressed ASAP. I’m currently in so much pain and my stomach is very hard and swollen.

As soon as you get some good news, reality always seems to bring you back down to earth with a bang and another problem to deal with.

We’re hoping that it will be a one-off draining procedure, as it can sometimes become something that needs to be done regularly. 🤞

Thank you so, so much for all your well wishes, messages and telephone calls. We are both completely overwhelmed by your kindness, love and support. ❤️

Here we go for month 4 of the new chemo not feeling as good as I did last month but it’s to be expected after 8 months of poison being pumped in to my system.

The scan results will be next week so I’m holding my breath with anticipation as you can imagine.

The results from this scan will determine what will happen to me from here on.

It’s like being on a non stop rollercoaster with no way off….!

Some days I wonder why I started the treatment when I feel really crap but then I have good days that make me mad with myself for thinking like that when we have such a great life, Great friends and Family.

The staff at this facility are beyond fabulous and I am so lucky to have such a great team of professionals looking after me.
You could not get better on the private sector.

They truly are amazing and put everyone’s mind at ease right away.

Anyway enough about me

Well, as you all know, this is my 4th week without any treatment, and we have decided to take a little break from our this week.

On Wednesday 16th September, I had my CT scan, and I will be getting the results from my oncologist in 10 days’ time. This will tell us whether the last 3 months of treatment have been successful.

As you can imagine, I am feeling very apprehensive right now, and we felt it was the right time to take a step back from the shop this week to gather my thoughts and get my head around what we are about to be told regarding my future.

We will be CLOSED Friday 18th & Saturday 19th September.

I hope we are not disappointing any of you, but right now my health has to come first. ❤️

I need to focus on myself and prepare for the next 4–5 months of treatment that lie ahead in the forthcoming months.
