Sometimes people pick up a pair of handmade earrings, glance at the price tag for approximately three seconds, and then place them back down with the quiet confidence of someone pricing a multipack of yoghurts.

Meanwhile somewhere in the background:
• 6 hours of making
• 14 years of learning
• 3 redesigns
• a few burnt fingers
• and a tiny emotional breakdown because one earring was 0.5mm longer than the other.

Handmade is a journey.

As a jeweller, I felt it was important to fully immerse myself in the industry.

So today I got my ni**le pierced.

Pleased to report I remained conscious throughout.

The husband, however, may never emotionally recover.

Today’s achievements, according to me ( and Javier judging me)

🍷 Had wine with friends
🍓 Completely killed an Eton Mess (unfortunately in the culinary disaster sense rather than the “absolutely smashed it” sense)
🌳 Relocated a tree from my garden, Her name is Ethel and I’d like it noted she has been rehomed, not executed.
🐶 Javier has spent the day hot, mildly unimpressed with life, but thoroughly entertained and involved in everyone’s business as usual.

Not entirely sure whether I’ve had a productive day, a chaotic day, or whether Britain’s annual two-day heatwave has finally got to me.

⚔️ Hear ye, hear ye! A dire proclamation from the Kingdom of Twelve Silver Trees ⚔️

Lo, I remain imprisoned, labouring upon the Tudor Rose order whilst Satan himself doth apparently tend the weather. The sun hath abandoned all reason and now beats mercilessly upon the realm like an angry king collecting taxes.

The silver doth cling to mine hands. Mine tea turneth lukewarm within moments. Even the enchanted glowing tablet (known to scholars as “the iPad”) hath succumbed to the infernal temperatures and entered a state of distress.

The hound lies spread eagled across the floorboards like a plague victim.
I myself grow weak.
Bring forth the fainting couch!
Summon the loyal manservants and handsome squires! Fan me immediately, for I grow faint and can no longer endure these cursed temperatures! Send forth a rider to fetch iced beverages and perhaps a Cornetto.

Should I not survive this trial, tell the people I perished nobly… in pursuit of a Tudor Rose.

God save the realm. And turn the flaming sky orb down a bit. 🌹

One of the final pieces before it quietly leaves the collection… ✨

Our Pink Cubic Zirconia Vine Necklace was inspired by twisting botanical vines, delicate silver leaves, and the soft blush tones of vintage gemstones. Feminine, elegant, and easy to wear, it’s become one of those pieces people often try on “just to see”… then don’t want to take off again.

Sadly the wholesale cost has increased so dramatically that we’ve decided not to continue the design, meaning this final necklace has now moved into our Archive Edit collection.

We get hundreds of emails from companies convinced Twelve Silver Trees is a care home 🤯🤣

Recruitment agencies, catering suppliers, temporary staffing companies… honestly, if you need emergency cover for a night shift somewhere in Britain, apparently we’re the people to call.

I used to get really frustrated by it, but after repeatedly trying to contact the actual care home they get us confused with, I’ve decided to treat it as both a personal challenge and a marketing opportunity 😂

So now, instead of ignoring them, I reply.

Politely.
Professionally.
And with just the slightest hint of sarcasm and chaos.

I’m particularly proud of today’s effort 👇🤣
