I restocked my upcycled brooches and recycled greetings cards at The Leith Collective at Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre, Ocean Drive, Edinburgh (first floor at the top of the escalator). Monday to Sunday 10am to 6pm.
There are a variety of new styles including upcycled woven wool from Garvald Edinburgh Weaving Workshop Garvald Edinburgh Textiles, upcycled valves and squeaker from broken inflatable animal toys from Edinburgh Zoo and new heart-shaped brooches made from discarded textiles.
The greetings cards are photographs of my brooches and panels which are printed on recycled card and come with a recycled envelope and compostable sleeve.
Come and have a browse whilst visiting The Royal Yacht Britannia | Edinburgh or Gutterball

What a fantastic weekend at the Colony of Artists
I met so many people, some who recognised my products! ☺️ Others who were new to my upcycling journey.
I came away with connections from 2 potential stockists, a lady interested in using my products as ni**le covers, a man interested in giving me his discarded dinghy, and another lady who would like to donate old banners! What a weekend! 😊
Thank you to everyone who came especially friends and my arts therapists colleagues 😊 and to those who made a purchase. It was my best weekend ever for sales!πŸ˜€
A big thanks to the organisers for this opportunity and all your hard work and to Erin for the use of your garden without which this couldn't have happened.
And lastly to Fiona Brown, together we battled the wind and heavy rain but survived it to meet many lovely people.
Colony of Artists I will see you next year! 😊

It's been busy at the Colony of Artists today. So just posting this now.
It's a bit windy so no framed plastic collages today and I've pinned the earrings with the brooches.
For the first time I'm debuting a new range - upcycled Dog P**p Bag Holders, along with the upcycled bags which have been the biggest hit so far!😊
The bunting has also been popular today 😊
Come and say hello when you are wandering around the Colony of Artists. I'm no 17 in the brochure, at 42 Lady Menzies Place.

One more sleep until I'll be bringing my upcycled wearable and living accessories (new terms I've recently learnt instead of accessories and homewareπŸ˜€) to the Colony of Artists at Abbeyhill! πŸ˜€
I'll be at 42 Lady Menzies Place, near the London Road side of the Colonies in the middle 😊
We will be writing chalk directions on the path tomorrow 😊
I'm number 17 in the brochure - a πŸ’™ brooch πŸ˜€

Welcome to my full length process reel about how to make an upcycled brooch.
This is the first time I have spoken over a reel so it is an experiment.
I have been told recently that I need to connect my final products to the waste fabrics I collect, that are donated or that I find in charity shops. Although I am still thinking about how to do that especially with fabrics as whether they are new or old they would still be in piles in bags and boxes.
The brooch sitting on top of the upcycled panel is a nod to the process of making, although I'm not sure it really explains it is upcycled. But me showing you my process is a helpful way for you as viewers to see how the waste materials are upcycled and how new pieces are created.
If you have any thoughts about how I could show others or describe to others how my products are upcycled especially in one single photo that would be great!
Also if you have any feedback on my process reel please let me know 😊
Or you could come and chat in person at the Colony of Artists this weekend, 11am to 6pm at 42 Lady Menzies Place, Abbeyhill, Edinburgh.
