Hi everyone and happy Sunday 💕

I wanted to bring you the stories behind some of the pieces I’m adding to Folksy and tell you a bit more about them so I thought I’d begin with this beautiful Green Opal and Topaz ring which Mum called Morning Tide.

There’s something powerful about green opal💚

Hi everyone,

Obviously Mum isn’t in the workshop at the moment and so she isn’t able to get any new jewellery made which as you can imagine is a huge problem for any small business.

But I have a plan 🙌

Mum has a huge back catalogue of pieces that she used to use to show people as starting points for custom work. She pretty much only creates one offs these days so to help her out I’m going to be listing a ton of these beauuuutiful treasures on her Folksy page. I’m also adding some of her extra special inspired pieces too.

I wanted so much to tell you the story of this piece.

This sterling silver heart holds a sky of its own.
The drifting clouds are a beautiful gemstone called plume agate which has been set on a shimmering background, shifting as the light moves. Sometimes calm, sometimes alive with flashes of aurora. No two moments with this pendant are ever quite the same.

Across folklore clouds are symbols of change, transition and mystery. They are reminders that life moves in seasons and feelings ebb and flow. They teach us that uncertainty is not something to fear, it’s a part of life itself.

Turn the pendant over and you’ll find a smiling, hand-stamped sun. A little reminder, just for the wearer that no matter how heavy the clouds may feel, the sun is always there behind them, steady and shining.

Well this week hasn’t turned out quite as expected…

This was a video I took on Monday evening as Marc wheeled me into the CT Scanner at Aintree Hospital not long before it was confirmed that I needed emergency surgery.

It’s all been a bit of a blur since then (thanks morph!ne), I have a whopping new scar on my abdomen and very limited mobility. I’ve been looked after by some of the most wonderful clinicians and healthcare staff imaginable and I can’t thank them enough for their kindness.

Above all, I’m ridiculously lucky and grateful for and for putting up with all my s**t and being relentlessly amazing. As you can imagine, I’m a wonderful patient 😂
