Good morning! For those who are new here, let me introduce myself! I'm Rachel, the founder and designer behind Hooves and Paws 2022, based near Llandeilo in beautiful Carmarthenshire, Wales.

With over 20 years of experience in veterinary care, animals have always been at the heart of my life. As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, alongside my BA (Hons) degree in Business Management, I've combined my love of animals, creativity and business to build something truly meaningful.

I founded Hooves and Paws 2022 in October 2022 with a simple vision: to help people preserve the memories and bonds they share with their beloved animals.
Whether it's horsehair, pet fur or ashes, I create bespoke keepsake jewellery that allows you to carry a little piece of someone special with you, always.

Every piece is designed with care, compassion and attention to detail.

I'm incredibly proud of how far my little business has come, with over 1,000 Etsy sales, hundreds of wonderful reviews and an Excellent rating on Trustpilot. I've also been honoured to receive a Prestige Award for 2025/26, become a finalist in the Carmarthenshire Business Awards and the ASA Awards this year, and have my work featured in Your Horse magazine.

Behind every piece is a story, a memory and a person who has trusted me with something precious. I never take that trust for granted. My years in veterinary care have given me a deep appreciation of the extraordinary bonds we share with our animals, and that understanding is at the heart of everything I create.
