This engagement ring has been one of the most special pieces I’ve made for AMY so far, for so many reasons.
Sander was actually my professor at Vogue College of Fashion in London while I was doing my master’s, and throughout that time he was always incredibly supportive of me and of AMY. So when he reached out to me in June and asked if we could have a call, I was genuinely nervous.
During the call he told me what he was looking for, and when I realised it was an engagement ring, I got so excited. To have someone who had supported me and my brand during such an important chapter of my life come back and trust me with something this personal felt very unique and very special.
I really believe an engagement ring doesn’t have to look the way everyone tells you it should. It’s probably one of the most meaningful pieces of jewellery you will ever own, and something you’ll wear every day, so making it feel as individual as possible is the most important part of the whole process.
We worked on this ring for around two months, going through the design, stones and all the little details until it felt exactly right.
The final ring was made in 14k gold with sapphires, topaz and diamonds — colourful, personal and completely its own.
From Yerevan to London, we made it come true. And I think this is exactly what I love most about creating engagement rings with AMY: there are no rules. Every ring can be built around the person, their story, the stones they love, their budget and all the small details that make it theirs.
Still feels very special seeing this one finished. 💍
