I wanted to share with you the faces behind the Sesame Gems brand that Iām building and am so grateful youāve chosen to join us on our journey.
Iām Sam and this is Willow (scroll left for my uber cute assistant š). When I first started my SG Insta and FB accounts I posted about my journey with crystals, reiki healing and how I came to make Sesame Gems.
Today weād like to share with you an update on our progress since we started in March⦠drumroll please! š„
So far on Etsy weāve made an amazing 86 sales to a total of 62 customers (some of you returning), received 35 five star reviews āļø with 94 listings up and plenty more to come - including chunkier bracelets that my partner is way too excited about (if he allows me to actually sell any since he keeps claiming them all š¤£).
Itās been incredibly exciting and I do a little internal dance each time my Etsy app goes ch-ching with a new sale.
All this during a rather hard three months of suffering from a chronic illness. I finally got a diagnosis of Vestibula Migraine (Iād never heard of it either⦠*goesofftogoogle ) I donāt want to dwell on it or be a Debbie Downer. Iām on a preventative medication now, just trying to find the right dosage, itās given me glimmers of hope that I will feel normal again, eventually. Iām trying to pinpoint my triggers (small screens being one Iām trying to avoid, hence the radio silence) but this episode was triggered after my vaccine š¬ which sent my nervous system into overdrive as it was already an underlying issue.
Iām sharing this with you in case youāre suffering silently with long bouts of illness, pain or in fact have VM too (please DM me - I need advice!), Youāre not alone.
Iām immensely grateful to my partner, heās been so patient and caring, my angel WillowTree for all the snuggles, the support from my friends and family, and for the understanding my boss and team have given. Iāve had two good days this week, so Iām focusing on that. Keeping my fingers crossed for Julyš¤
In the meantime slowly working on your orders, itās keeping me sane!
