Hallmarks were the gateway into my interest in jewellery many years ago. They’re incredibly important to the brand, and last week I visited London Assay Office to see how it all works

Each piece is tested and struck here in London. The London Assay office itself is over 700 years old and hallmarking was first introduced in 1300

Hallmarking is rooted in British heritage and I can’t get enough of them
