This is how I shop intentionally as a stylist.
When I try something on, I’m not only asking:
“Do I like this?”
I’m asking:
Does it work with what I’m wearing now?
Does it work with shoes I already own?
Does it work with bottoms I have at home?
Can I wear it in more than one way?
Will I still want to wear it beyond this season?
That is the difference between random shopping and smart shopping.
A piece can be beautiful, but if it only works in one outfit, it may end up sitting in your wardrobe unworn.
The goal is to buy pieces that connect with your wardrobe, not pieces that create more confusion.
