While diamonds remain a classic choice, we’re seeing more and more clients embracing colour in their jewellery. Coloured gemstones bring character to a piece, whether that’s the rich red of a ruby, the soft blush of a pink sapphire, the vibrant green of an emerald or tourmaline, or the timeless beauty of a blue sapphire.

Having worked with diamonds and coloured gemstones for over 60 years, we’ve had the privilege of sourcing and creating jewellery with some truly exceptional stones. Each gemstone has its own personality, and finding the right one is often one of the most exciting parts of the design process.

A closer look at one of our most-loved designs that even had a viral moment across social media! ✨

Inspired by the geometric style of Art Deco design, this engagement ring features an emerald cut centre diamond framed by a custom cut baguette diamond halo. The result? Clean lines, beautiful symmetry, and a design that feels both vintage inspired and timeless.

Few things feel more British than picking up the June issue of , seeing Prince William on the cover and discovering a sapphire engagement ring we created inside, inspired by Princess Diana’s iconic design.

A nod to Diana’s sapphire ring, this piece reflects a design that changed engagement ring trends forever and introduced a new way of thinking about colour and individuality in fine jewellery. Decades on, its influence still feels unmistakable, continuing to resonate with couples today. 💎🇬🇧💙

Our client knew one thing from the start, she wanted a yellow centre stone. But beyond that, the design journey was wide open. 💛

1 & 2 - The final ring 💎💚

3 - We originally explored a much more traditional trilogy setting that was timeless, elegant, and balanced.

4 - Then everything changed after our client spotted an asymmetrical ring on a friend’s hand at a wedding. The unexpected silhouette instantly clicked and became the turning point for the design direction.

5 - From there, we began refining how to bring asymmetry into the piece in a way that still felt soft, intentional, and wearable for everyday life.

6 - Green side stones became part of the conversation early on, but finding the right green was more complex than expected. We explored different shades, tones, and gemstone options to balance colour, light, and durability. One of the biggest considerations in bespoke design is practicality, especially for a ring worn every day. Some beautiful green gemstones simply aren’t hardy enough for long-term wear, so sourcing the right material was key.

7 - After narrowing down the options, this yellow diamond was the clear winner. Its warmth paired perfectly with the richness of the green side stones.

8 - The final design brought everything together: a bold asymmetrical composition with clean cuts, flowing lines, and subtle Art Deco influences throughout.

One of our favourite things about bespoke work is how dramatically a design can evolve. From a classic trilogy to this sculptural asymmetrical piece - what a transformation. ✨

Behind the scenes of a very busy month. ✨

From loose sapphires becoming one-of-a-kind rings, bridal diamond and pearl drop earrings, and trays of coloured stones lined up for client appointments, our studio has been full from morning to night lately.

We’re so grateful for everyone who’s trusted us with such special pieces and kept us wonderfully busy this season. This month’s appointments booked out faster than we expected, so we’ve opened additional bespoke consultation slots for June.
