The Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5167A-001. Stainless steel case at 40.8mm, 8.1mm thin, with the brand’s signature rounded octagonal bezel, brushed surfaces, and polished bevelled edges. The charcoal sunburst dial carries the embossed Aquanaut pattern, white gold applied numerals, and luminescent baton hands. Date at 3 o’clock, sapphire crystal caseback, screw-down crown, water resistant to 120 metres.

Inside, the automatic Calibre 26-330 S C, beating at 28,800 vph with a 45-hour power reserve, Gyromax balance, Spiromax hairspring, and a 21k gold central rotor, all certified to the Patek Philippe Seal. Completed by the iconic black composite tropical strap with the patented fold-over clasp. A reference that consistently trades well above retail, and for good reason.

At just 8.1mm thin, it wears with the quiet authority of a watch that has nothing to prove. Powering it is the ultra slim Calibre 2121, preserving a direct lineage to the original Series A that started it all.

What sets the 15202BC apart is the interplay of its materials: the cool white gold contrasted against a warm pink gold toned “Petite Tapisserie” dial, a pairing that nods to the beloved salmon dial first seen on the Royal Oak’s 20th anniversary edition of 1992. Conceived to honour the resonance research of the great 18th century watchmakers, the F.P. Journe Chronomètre à Résonance Ref. RT represents one of the most intellectually demanding achievements in modern horology. Its manually wound Calibre 1499.3 houses two entirely independent gear trains, each governed by its own balance wheel, oscillating in natural acoustic resonance through a shared mainplate. The result is a self-correcting timekeeping system of unrivalled precision, where each balance compensates for the disturbances of the other.

The Ref. RT variant, known as the “Parking Meter,” sets itself apart through its distinctive orbital 24-hour radial display on the left sub-dial, paired with a conventional 12-hour analogue on the right. Presented in a 40mm platinum case, the dial features whitened guilloché silver, blued steel hands, a power reserve at 12 o’clock, and subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock on both sides. A crown at 12 o’clock sets each movement independently, while the pusher at 4 o’clock resets both seconds to zero simultaneously.
