Wow that was a DAY! I’m once again really thrilled with how the market went and thankful to everyone involved. To the talented sellers, everyone that swung by (and especially people spending some money on our wares!) and the Black Heart staff! Thanks also to for the excellent music all day, to .revolution for all the help, to for the banging cocktails, for sharing their space and smashing out tattoos all day, for all her artwork and ESPECIALLY for being my co-conspirator and bestie in this madness!

On a personal note; this edition was the most challenging. Firstly, we had about three times the amount of applications (certainly not a bad problem to have!) which meant whittling down the line up was really hard, then quite a few last minute fires to put out. I pride myself on creating an event to showcase all the great talent my friends and beyond have - I just want a day where we can have great music/food/hangs and hopefully make some money. I put a lot into creating something that people really look forward to and I’m proud of the growth. But this year was HARD!! I am a jeweller, I run a record shop, I DJ and co-run this market twice a year, at about 4 months prep/work per time. And this time I was feeling the pressure - so for the day to turn out as smoothly and busy as it did I am really really happy. So thank you everyone! And mostly thank you Matt for having my back 🖤

Desertfest 2026 WHAT A WILD RIDE!! I am so so thrilled with how that went! Thank you to everyone that came to the Emporium for a chat, a drink, and of course some shopping! It was intense, very long days and I worked incredibly hard in the run up to the fest to have some new, special pieces and it was all so worth it. My new collection Medieval Devilry II dropped on Friday and most is already gone 😮🥰

On the Friday, my brother and I also DJ’d the after party in which was SO FUN! And then on the Saturday my husband .revolution played The Roundhouse 😱 with his band and they CRUSHED IT! So it was a packed fest for me and my family!

Endless thanks to my fellow Empress’s and for doing this again - the support, the laughs, the tears and the Bloody Marys! Love you both. Thanks to the new and return customers - my heart is full! And finally to for once again putting on the event of the year!!!

Today I’m rotting on the sofa - then back to work sending out your orders! 💪

Medieval Devilry II is live! Head over to my site to see all the pieces. This is one of my favourites, the Holly II cuff is a made with armour in mind. It features a glowing Baltic amber stones and medieval flower motifs. Heavy metal meets olde Albion. Made to order in your size!

Next in the Medieval Devilry II collection is this Rowan Pendant. Featuring a dendritic agate doublet held within a shadowbox setting, all sitting under a crescent moon. I’ve always loved the drystone walls on Dartmoor and I try and create a similar texture in my shadowbox settings to replicate a moorland scene.

This cutie is one of a kind and available Friday!

The first piece I am sharing from my upcoming Medieval Devilry II collection are these earrings - Isolde Hoops. Handmade in Sterling silver, they feature faceted smoky quartz and studded 3cm hoop. They are made to order and I’ll have some at Desertfest this weekend!

Medieval Devilry II will go live on my site on Friday 15th May at midday!

As I’m in insane prep mode for I thought I’d share something exciting! I will be releasing Medieval Devilry II at the festival. A small collection, continuing on from my last, focused on darker, historic shapes, as always with a big nod to British folklore 🌙. There will be one of a kind and made to order pieces. You can see one in this image here!

A massive thank you to .img for creating this image and for really understanding my goals, themes and the unique story I’ve been creating for Primitive Rising and expanding it. I’ve got lots of beautiful things to share from working with Emily this year 🖤

Medieval Devilry II will also be available online for those not at Desertfest and I’ll be sharing images over the next week!

Get this in ya diaries! The Primitive Rising and Summer Market 2026 will be held on Saturday 6th June 12pm-5pm.

🌞 What to expect - As ever, the event is held over 3 floors filled with sellers of jewellery, artwork, vintage clothing and merch, taxidermy, oddities, self care, and more. There will be a tattoo flash event in and there will be tarot, vegan food, DJs, a charity raffle, drinks specials and as always a few fun surprises! As always, free entry and kids and dogs most welcome.

A full list of sellers will be available in the coming weeks so keep an eye out!

Growing this event has been very special to me and having so many people say it’s their favourite market of the year means a lot! So make sure you don’t miss it, we are working to make it the best yet!
