The name parents choose for their new baby follows a lot of thought – and frequent argument. Quite right too. A child has to grow up with its parents’ choice of name and that can have an impact on personality or confidence. It can be tough for kids named after their parents’ favourite movie character or sports team. Well, Chelsea’s ok but would a boy want to be called Fulham or Millwall? Probably he’d rather be Stanley than Accrington.

At least half the people featured in our cards are living and that means their lives are apt to change. We keep our eyes open for significant events and update the cards when something important happens. Recent revisions include the addition of tv presenter Holly Willoughby to the Holly card and Barbara Taylor Bradford, the author, to the Barbaras. We’ve tweaked Emily Blunt to include her new starring role as Mary Poppins and Zoe Ball who’s added the prime Radio 2 breakfast show to her starry cv. The work goes on...
