Learning B2B marketing behind the scenes 📸

Marketing students from our University recently went behind the scenes at Seven Dials Market for an exclusive tour led by KERB’s Marketing Director.

The visit marked the launch of a live industry project where students will work on a real B2B brief with KERB, developing strategic marketing proposals and pitching their ideas later this semester 📊

The Westminster Working Cultures programme is celebrating eight years of impact, marking the milestone with its Annual Reunion while continuing to expand its global reach with international trips to Cairo and Mumbai ✈️

Since launching, the initiative has supported more than 1,000 students and graduates, connecting them with alumni and industry partners around the world to gain insight into global careers, build networks and develop professional confidence 👏

🤖 Exploring the future of AI in the built environment

Our University has launched a new report as part of the AI4QS (Artificial Intelligence for Quantity Surveying) initiative, exploring how AI is transforming quantity surveying and the wider built environment sector 🏗️

Co-led by Abdullahi Saka, the report introduces the Built Environment Responsible AI Competence Framework (BRIEF) - designed to help professionals, educators and organisations adopt AI responsibly, ethically and effectively 📊

The launch event brought together academics and industry partners to discuss how AI can support innovation while strengthening professional standards and skills across the sector 🤩

👗 Supporting global fashion entrepreneurs through collaboration

Our University has secured £25,000 in funding from the British High Commission in Rwanda to support the next phase of the Rwanda Fashion Entrepreneurs Programme 🌍

The initiative will bring eight emerging Rwandan designers to London for a summer showcase, where they will connect with academics, students, buyers and industry experts while gaining valuable insight into scaling their businesses internationally ✨

Delivered in partnership with the International Trade Centre’s SheTrades Initiative, the programme highlights the power of education, enterprise and global collaboration in supporting creative industries and emerging talent 👏

🏛️ Westminster expert contributes to UK financial policy discussion

Abdelhafid Benamraoui, Professor of Finance at our University, recently provided oral evidence at a session of the Treasury Select Committee focused on the UK’s Financial Inclusion Strategy 📚

During the discussion, Professor Benamraoui shared expert insights on key issues such as financial access, digital inclusion and the importance of clearer targets and accountability to ensure initiatives tackling financial exclusion are effective and measurable 📊

His contribution highlights the role of academic expertise in shaping policy and addressing important societal challenges 👏

🌍 Westminster alumna recognised for driving social change

We’re proud to celebrate Van Anh Nguyen, a graduate of our University’s Management MA, who has been named a national finalist for the Social Action Award at the Study UK Alumni Awards in Vietnam 🎉

Now a lecturer at VinUniversity, Nguyen has dedicated her career to empowering young people and strengthening connections between the UK and Vietnam through her non-profit initiative VietPro 👏

Her work continues to support thousands of students and young professionals through mentoring, knowledge sharing and career development opportunities - demonstrating the lasting global impact of Westminster graduates 🌟

Scholars supported by Mrs M’s Education Fund at our University recently met the Fund’s Founder Shoukat Moledina and Chair Marc Hansen to share their personal journeys, ambitions and reflections on the impact of the scholarship 👏

The meeting offered a powerful reminder of how access to education, mentorship and support can open doors and inspire future change-makers. For the scholars, it was also a chance to connect with the story behind the Fund and the community of women it continues to empower 🌟

Can you solve a real business challenge in just one day? 💡

On 23 February, students from our University put their skills to the test during an exciting Business Hackathon, working directly with industry partners to develop solutions to real-world business challenges 🤩

After meeting their clients and exploring the briefs, teams spent the day collaborating, problem-solving, and refining their ideas before presenting their final pitches to academic leads and employers 🤝

We were delighted to welcome organisations including The Gym Kitchen, Sweet Dee's Jerk, Bodha Drinks, Flawsome! Drinks | B Corp™, Belu, and Kitchen at Holmes, who challenged students to think creatively and strategically

From brainstorming sessions to final presentations, students demonstrated impressive innovation, teamwork, and presentation skills while gaining valuable industry insight 🚀

👏 A huge thank you to our industry partners and academic teams for making the day such a success
