Hatton Garden Bespoke. Diamond Jewellery Workshop Master-crafted jewellery at a gentle pace. Hatton Garden's home for slow-made, high-end, bespoke diamond and gem set pieces H.G. Bespoke offers a full service.
(365)

I thought I should write this page description to let you know how H.G.Bespoke operates. What can customers expect once they present their need to commission? At H.G.Bespoke, we call upon over six and a half centuries of Masters' craft skills. This tradition, handed down to our classically trained Bench Jeweller, provides you with the care of a Master Craftsman with more than two decades of produc

tion and manufacture of the highest quality fine, high end jewellery. Beginning with the initial design of your individual piece and remaining engaged up to the final production of a beautiful, handmade, and utterly unique creation. H.G.Bespoke will start by ascertaining your budget, we continue by building a portfolio of visual reference material to enable the design process. Traditional workshop paints up can be supplied to facilitate in your visualizing the final look before manufacture commences. The craft process is somewhat organic as stones can dictate the rhythm the ring must accommodate in order to express their finer qualities. Once H.G.Bespoke and you have completed this initial design process I will then source my 'Guaranteed Conflict Free' diamonds. All larger stones come with an International Gemological Institute certification. All stones will be D, E or F colour with a clarity rating of Vs2 or above to preserve the integrity of your design and your financial investment. Any colour below F and any clarity below Vs2 downgrade the work to a commercial high-street grade, this is not the best use of those centuries of craft and so H.G.Bespoke seek to ensure you wisely invest in a quality work that can last a lifetime! H.G.Bespoke will then buy the raw precious metals needed to hand craft each element of your design. For the more intricate pieces, H.G.Bespoke will take a series of photographs of the progress at the bench. At the point of completion all of the images are placed on to a DVD for you to keep. It is a permanent record of the story of your jewels creation and your place as a patron of more than half a millennium of traditional crafts. A handwritten valuation, diamond certification and the DVD will be supplied along with the finished piece to help recognize your Patronage and to ensure the provenance of your unique piece is accepted for generations to come. All of this, along with the initial visit to the workshop, in London, which H.G.Bespoke encourages you to make, will form a part of the H.G.Bespoke service package to you. After the first month of wear, the skin on your finger will 'settle' around the ring. H.G.Bespoke will include a complimentary sizing adjustment for free. It can often be the case that upon wearing a new ring, the fit is not as satisfying as possible. This entirely individual process can result in minor adjustments needing to be made after the first month or so. This is, again, a service H.G.Bespoke offer to ensure the continued value of your investment. For a small yearly service fee your ring can also be cleaned, the claws tightened and if necessary rebuilt using the latest in Laser technology. This will ensure that during 'normal wear' your stones will remain safe and secure for the life of the ring. Normal wear and tear is going to mark your ring; this is part of the living finish of a piece of jewellery and is a part of its continuing story. For a nominal fee any possible deeper marks detracting from the living finish can be repaired for you with new metal to bring your ring back to a 'near new state' if necessary. H.G.Bespoke make repairs to your living finish with a precision engineered Class 4 Laser. Repairs are guaranteed to be with new metal rather than filling the repairs with solders as was traditionally done. The final part of my after-sales is a lifetime guarantee against manufacturing defect. This will not cover misuse, accidental damage or normal wear and tear but rather inconsistencies in the raw materials. Platinum and Gold are natural materials so there is the risk of possible imperfections. It has not happened to Our Jeweller in his 22 years at the bench. However as a precaution H.G.Bespoke have to offer this as part of the 'Bespoke' service. In the case of there being a manufacturing fault; that results in the failure of your piece, I will totally remake the same ring again for you using new metal at absolutely 'no cost' to you! As stated this cannot cover any hard wearing or misuse but only material or manufacturing fault. In addition to all of this:

Any piece manufactured by H.G.Bespoke and covered by a complete and documented service record and history in the archives I keep will; upon becoming an 'Inherited' piece, be eligible for a refitting to its new inherited owner...
This can only be offered to pieces with a full history of care maintenance however. Altogether my after sales services are as comprehensive as the initial design and production parts of our relationship. You will find the H.G.Bespoke services depth of care will not be beaten in Hatton Garden by another workshop! You will not just be purchasing a piece of finely crafted jewellery but also the culmination of a lifetime of dedicated service to a craft and industry I love and one that as 'H.G.Bespoke' I wish to imbue with the skills and attention to detail that have thus far set me apart from others, unwilling to spend the time on or with their customers. This workshop is an open house, so please allow me to invite you into my creative home. If you wish to be a part of this lineage of skills, to be the owner of something that is more than just a piece of jewellery but carries with it something deeper, then you will know that H.G.Bespoke is the right choice for you, your family and your friends continuing jewellery needs. In the first instance please feel free to come and talk to me and see if I can indeed be of assistance to you. Kindest Regards. H.G.Bespoke

All of the silver bangles came back from Assay this morning, and look great. Make sure to take a look at those last two images, as I got the L.A.O to spread the five hallmarks over a different wire for each mark, and have them following the diagonal of the twist.

It cost me a bit more than normal, as they charge me extra for complicated marks ( I wrote an essay to go to Assay with them) which these certainly qualify for. That's down to me though. so the prices remain as posted previously.

The available bangles are:

1. A 925 solid Sterling Silver, 3 wire twist bangle, made with 3.5mm round wires. (7.3mm across entire cross-section of bangle) weighing 66.5grams.
****Price is: £971. inc VAT (plus shipping)****
2. A 925 solid Sterling Silver, 3 wire twist bangle, made with 4mm round wires. (8.8mm across the entire cross-section of bangle) weighing 88.5grams.
****Price is: £1110. inc VAT (plus shipping)****
3. A 925 solid Sterling Silver, 'Six-round-one' wire twist bangle, made with 3mm round wires. (9.6mm across the entire cross-section of the bangle) It weighs 117grams.
****Price is: £1342 inc VAT (plus shipping)****
4. A Solid Copper, 'FIVE-round-one' wire twist bangle, made with a 2mm wire copper core, and five 2.9mm round wires twisted around the core. (8.5mm across the entire cross-section of the bangle) It weighs 74grams in solid copper.
****Price is £250 (DM for enquiries please)****
5. *****NOW SOLD*****
A super heavy weight Chrome Bronze Bangle (Copper, Tin and a small amount of Chrome, with makes it impossibly hard) This piece has a Hexagonal cross section that measures 9.5mm across from flat-to-flat, or 10.55mm across from point-to-point.
The ends of this bangle have a Gothic Arch profile, bringing each end to a soft six-sided bullet-point.
This piece weighs a phenomenal 138grams, now that it is finished.
*****NOW SOLD*****
The three silver bangles have HALF of my standard mark-up for fine gold and platinum jewellery items, so represent a huge page discount. The Copper and Bronze bangles have NONE of my mark-up at all, so just represent materials, outgoing costs, and labour.

All of the silver bangles will need to be shipped via Royal Mail Special Delivery (£30 added to bangle cost on your invoice). Items 4 & 5 can be sent signed/tracked for £10, or you may choose Special Delivery for £30. (your call on that one)

Please drop me a private message if you would like to secure one of these in time for Valentine's day, or if you might light to take advantage of the discount and acquire a gift early for Father's Day?

If you decide to get early for Father's day we can look at an H.G Long Invoice option. The bangle would stay here while you pay monthly amounts, until the invoice has cleared.

Kindest Regards.

I will be enjoying my weekend on airplane mode, so will not be contactable until Monday morning at the earliest now.

I will sort through any messages pertaining to these stock items, as well as the silver, copper, and bronze bangles, in the order of which they arrived... in the spirit of fairness. However, I will remind you all that I cannot hold an item.
Once I answer your message I will move on to the next until someone takes an item to invoice.

I hope you all have a great weekend. Keep an eye out for 'V' updates. And just to clarify, no it is nothing to do with Valentines. Though for the observant among you, I may; or may not, have already dropped a clue or two in my posts over the last few days!

If you are one of the few who already know, please let the rest play along and get a clothes peg on those Magpie beaks... ;-)

Kindest Regards.

*****NOW SOLD*****

This post was a quick (not so quick as I do waffle occasionally) evening update for the mahoosive Titan Class Bronze gents Hex Bangle, as I lay out my workshop bed for yet another night.

I've now shaped up the ends and the weight has dropped to 138.4grams. The ends make it super easy to get on, and complement the Hexagonal profile of this visually pleasing piece.

By the time I've applied a satin finish tomorrow morning it will probably drop to around 135/136grams.

Like the other Titan Class silver bangles; on the page earlier today, this has been made to fit to an 8.5" wrist measurement, meaning with a bit of play it would suit an 8- 8.25" wrist as it is currently.
However, if the purchaser has a smaller wrist the gap can be closed to comfortably snug, or opened up a bit as appropriate for larger wrist sizes.

Either way there is adjustability built in, as with the three heavy weight silver bangles (currently at the London Assay Office) and the chunky Copper '6 round 1' twisted wire bangle that is also ready to go.

Price for this monster is £440 (plus shipping, if required) You can of course collect if you'd prefer. 🙂

This will be a one of one piece, not to be repeated... I honestly don't think my workshops neighbours could handle the insane blacksmithing noise, and thumping vibrations caused by my hammering the straight bar into shape. 🤣

Bronze alloys containing chromium, copper, and tin; as with this Hex Bangle, typically have a peak hardness between 139 HV and 186 HV (Vickers hardness), depending on the exact composition and processing methods used. The addition of chromium and tin to a copper matrix creates a "high-performance" alloy with significantly improved mechanical properties compared to standard copper or binary copper-chromium alloys.

Trust me, this one was a double hard bar steward to beat into shape. Which is just one of the numerous reasons I've used a plethora of slang terminology over the first few weeks of this delightful new year, some of which I only found out I knew when I clumped my thumb 👍 or burnt a finger or two 🔥
One benefit of forgetting stuff is that at 52yrs old you can still surprise yourself with what is inherent! 🤣🤣

There are a few shot on my wrist to show a rough idea of size. Though were I to keep this piece myself (which I will if it cannot find a good home!) I would personally close the gap up a bit more, to make for a snug fit on my wrist.
I've lost a lot of weight, and rather sadly a LOT of lean muscle mass in the last few years due to poor health, so I'm a mere fraction of my Viking self now.

Hopefully some big Hulk of a man will either want this himself, or his Magpie will get it for his Valentines day gift. 🙂

Please Pm for all enquiries.

Kindest Regards

Now something for our Magpies fellas perhaps?

And as it would happen, because I am sleeping on my floor for every week of this new year so far, I have indeed got them ready and just off to the Assay Office for hallmarking, so that they can be shipped out (UK mainland at least) in time for my Magpies to gift their S/o for this Valentines.

Don't worry Ladies there are still a small number of stock pieces for your guy to buy YOU for Valentines, so get hinting in their general direction.

I find pulling faces to screens really helps, as us guys are not generally great with hints. (28yrs with Mrs H.G, she would agree)

But back to these pieces.

The smallest four 925 Sterling Silver bangles are already sold I'm afraid (£690 each) but I have included them in the images as you are used to my Magpie Class bangles, especially as this is the weight I have always made them in copper for the page in the past.

They show just how MASSIVE my Titan Class bangles really are.

Three of them are also 925 sterling silver, and are now being hallmarked for next week (I hope to get them back by Monday late afternoon, but Tuesday morning latest). With one Extra chunky twisted wire bangle in Copper, and the final piece being a Chrome Bronze Hexagonal Bangle, that is genuinely an absolute beast of a bangle.

It was so hard to hammer in to shape, I was essentially blacksmithing and making so much noise the guy in the flat next door to my office (next building along) was banging the wall... Well if they want to gentrify the street I have worked in for 34 years, and get their EC1 flatlets at the expense of another workshop going forever, noise comes with the territory. Hehehe.

5. A super heavy weight Chrome Bronze Bangle (Copper, Tin and a small amount of Chrome, with makes it impossibly hard) This piece has a Hexagonal cross section that measures 9.5mm across from flat-to-flat, or 10.55mm across from point-to-point.
I am currently shaping the ends of this bangle, from all six facets, to have a Gothic Arch profile, bringing each end to a soft bullet-point.

Currently it weighs 141grams, but this will reduce from shaping the ends (which I have already started)

****Price is £440 (DM for enquiries please)****

The three silver bangles have HALF of my normal mark-up, so represent a huge page discount.

Items 4 & 5 do not require Assay, so the Copper twist can be posted right away, and as soon as I am able to finish filing the ends to shape on the Bronze one likewise that can be shipped out.

All of the silver bangles will need to be shipped via Royal Mail Special Delivery (£30 added to bangle cost on your invoice). Items 4 & 5 can be sent signed/tracked for £10, or you may choose Special Delivery for £30.

I have now used up every single last scrap of silver in my workshop, a fact for which my lungs will be very pleased. I have spent most of today cleaning the workshop of silver dust as a result of making what I have, and have zero intention of replicating any of these available pieces at any point in the future.

All five bangles made to fit on an 8.5 wrist, but can be opened or closed to suit how you want to wear them. Except for the Bronze one, which you WILL NOT be able to move without tools, and a lot of grunting noise (required!)

Once these five items are gone that is it, so come on Magpies... maybe it is time to treat your guy. Please drop me a message for your chosen piece. First to go to invoice gets. I cannot hold over for anyone.

Existing clients of with accounts of good standing can opt for a payment plan on the above 5 available bangles. You will even get the bangle in time for Valentines still.

Kindest Regards.
Your Busy Boy.

05/02/2026

As we start to look towards new life and the coming of spring in the UK, I will be using this time to bring about a soft relaunch of the H.G.Bespoke brand, and to bring in a new 'Gentle Craft ' philosophy. Don't worry though, I am and will always be your H.G. (slightly wrinkled, often dishevelled, and sometimes grumpy with reason)

Following significant health journeys in recent years; some known to the page while others have been more privately shared with my inner circle, I have been forced to slow my production pace to match my ability to perform any given task on any given day. Some days this can sadly even include dressing and feeding myself.

This new 'Slow-Made' process will ensure every piece receives the highest level of Master-Bench attention for all appreciative, and patient clientele that lock in to that journey with me.

Fibromyalgia (along with my other issues) needs to be my strength, rather than my failing. Every single time I manage to sit at my bench, I prove to myself that while being on exceedingly high dose medications I can make myself useful to the world, my clients, and my family, rather than being the burden I know I could be if I let pain stop me in my tracks.

There will be a series of releases; including the new 'Gentle Craft Manifesto' that will be framed and reside on a wall of the workshop, as I settle all of the details in my now very slow mind, however... the whole 're-boot' will be heralded by something VERY special indeed.!

What might that be H.G? I hear you ask.

Well, you will just have to be patient Magpies and lock in to the story as it develops. (sniggers to self)

Please just know that I am going to do my utmost to make my daily struggles into a Brand Strength. And I will only be able to do this with the kind and loving support of the Magpies that have formed the core of my Sparkly Army for the past 12 years of my now 36years making jewellery.

For now, I will leave you with the enigma...

What is V?

Kindest Regards
Your H.G

Gaia, starting to show her form.

Seven continents, Seven seas, the Sun, and the moon. All surrounding the main stone Gaia, a stunning 9.49cts Blue-green Tourmaline .

Currently there is approximately 1.77cts of diamonds in the flower cluster and shoulder motifs (yet to be made).
This is made up off nine of each Blue and Green Diamonds, potentially two Ice-Blue Diamonds, the larger White, and Yellow Diamonds.

I'm hoping to have the piece ready for the page by mid-late February, once set, assayed, and polished.

She currently remains unreserved, so all enquiries are welcome. And visits to view encourage.

As with all named series, such as Norse God's, Full 'named' Princess Rings, and my Titan pieces, this set particular set up will never be repeated.

MRMPOV for today, my Titan Gaia well underway while Ares is having the diamonds set.

4th week in a row of 2026 sleeping at the workshop.

I really hope this piece finds a Magpie home. 🙈🤞🙈

Hope you are all having a good humpday.

Possibly the most expressive button back I've ever done. And in this image it's probably only 40% done.

Watch this space for this Titan piece Ares, once S/he's arrived in America after the 12th of February. 😎

For now, it's time to go home after my third week sleeping in the workshop this year (next week to do still) my weekend sees me being accountant, vat return and preparing for my end-of-year (Jan 31st).

So busy, bees look on in silenced awe. 😵‍💫😵‍💫🥴

Hope you all have a lovely weekend, see you on the other side.

Kindest Regards.

22/01/2026

My bench today.

Working on my Titan piece Ares (left), which has had me sleeping at the workshop already in 2026! Finally also getting the Titan piece Gaia onto the bench (middle) especially as it's a stock piece that I've already bought all the materials for. Really got to get that piece made, so I can try to find a home for her.

Can't very well do that while she's a pile of materials and loose stones!

The 4.85cts beautiful baguette to the right is a customer piece that will be made into a visually simple piece, that allows that magnificent diamond to take the focus. No fuss, no frills, and no sugar dip.

These three weeks back have been chaos already 😫 I really didn't expect to be staying over already, but trying to crawl back from 200 lost hours over the last 3 months of 2025 is a steep; and likely insurmountable, hill to climb.

Had a page gent in today for my help in scrapping two old gold pocket watch bodies.

He'd been offered £1850 locally. I got him £3804.

Reckon that's a good day then.

Kindest Regards
Your H.G
