I’m not sure I’ve done one of these posts before but, Hello! This is me! Thought I’d share my face. Full disclosure, this photo is a couple of years old so I AM catfishing you slightly. But I really like the light rays in this photo by (who also took the bench shots).
It’s been almost 20 years since i first tried my hand at jewellery making in the magical little holy town of Pushkar, India. With my dear guru ji sunil soni I spent three of the best months of my life there, back in my nomadic days, when I spent a lot of time in India and Thailand. (Photo of beloved Pushkar at the end)
My love of tinkering away with precious metals just keeps growing and I feel very very lucky to make a living doing something I get so much joy from. Running my own small business is sometimes (usually) utterly petrifying but getting to make precious things for lovely people is the pay off.
I’ve been doing a lot more bespoke work this year, which is changing the way I work in a great way as it involves getting to know customers so much more and building a bit of a relationship. I get to meet so many wonderful people and hear the personal stories and journeys they want a piece of jewellery to hold the meaning of.
Alsooooo, watch this space as I am soon going to start teaching again from my new studio. So if you ever fancied having a go at making jewellery, come see me 🔨 🔥 💍
