A love note to the season of beauty, balance, truth, and becoming uncomfortable with all of yourself.
Libra season begins alongside the Autumn Equinox, when light and darkness briefly meet in balance. As the colours change and the outside world begins to retreat, we are invited to turn inwards too.
To restore.
To reconsider.
To notice what has been buried beneath the noise.
Libra is ruled by Venus, the planet associated with love, beauty, pleasure, relationships and value. But this year, Venus stations retrograde on 3 October, moving backwards through Scorpio and Libra until 13 November.
So this isn’t only a season for making life look more beautiful.
It may ask us to examine what beauty means to us. What we value. What we tolerate. How we love. What we spend our energy on, and whether our relationships reflect the worth we are finally learning to recognise within ourselves.
Because Libra may be graceful, loving and diplomatic, but she is also the sign of justice. So it’s best not to mistake her softness for submission. Libra is ruled by love, but she carries the scales of Justice.
She doesn’t always want to keep the peace. Sometimes she wants to correct the imbalance.
We do not have to be pretty, pleasant or accommodating all the time. Sometimes love looks like a boundary. Sometimes truth creates discomfort. Sometimes the scales cannot return to balance without first being disturbed.
This Libra season, bring beauty inwards, to your home, your routine, your body and your relationship with yourself.
Seek the beauty that has been buried and denied.
And make room for every part of you, even the part that refuses to let an injustice slide.
