I’m hugely excited to now be part of the HOMO FABER community amongst amazing makers from around the world!
Homo Faber Guide is an online platform dedicated to craftsmanship that allows you to discover artisans and their masterpieces; explore museums, visit galleries and shops selling unique objects; enjoy experiences in cities across Europe and beyond.
Homo Faber Guide is a signature project developed by the Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship, an international non-profit organisation based in Geneva, Switzerland, which was set up in 2016 thanks to the intuition of Franco Cologni and Johann Rupert. The Michelangelo Foundation’s mission is to celebrate and preserve master craftsmanship, and for this reason it has created a map of the most significant representatives in this field, with the aim of connecting all its protagonists: artisans, designers, gallery owners, art curators, collectors and enthusiasts of high-quality handmade pieces.

Just back from a brilliant week Goldsmiths' Fair - fine jewellery & contemporary silver - scroll for the best good luck message ever! Thank you for all the support and special thanks to my family and friends who’ve been supporting me all week. I had brilliant stand neighbours as always and the Fair team are so cool. Time to chill. is in full swing this weekend and I wish I was there! This is my necklace for the ACJ ‘City of Suffragettes’ exhibition on Manchester Craft and Design Centre.

A necklace made in celebration of women using suffragette colours and a skirt silhouette. On the reverse inlaid silver dots quietly spell out
Votes for Women.
I found the suffragette colours to be really inspiring. Originally I was thinking of making a non-moving brooch but cutting the shapes made me
think all about the movement and sound - making noise as a way of saying we are here and we deserve to be heard - moving freely and with
joy - and so I moved to making a necklace to really bring out that energy. Working with the wood and laminate I felt so privileged and
honoured to be in control of my own life, to have the opportunity to create new and vibrant pieces that are unique to me and the way I see the world.
