What do the tiny stamps on a gold chain mean?

Buying physical silver? Include VAT in your calculations.

The metal price is only part of the cost. Physical silver bought at the standard UK VAT rate carries 20% VAT, while qualifying investment gold is VAT-exempt.

The video explains that initial hurdle. Dealer premiums, selling spreads and other costs also affect the price you would need to break even; a 20% rise alone does not guarantee a profit.
