Hope the sparkley season will soon be with us! I have so much diamante. These brooches haven't reached the shop! I have a big shop but there is never enough room. Personally I love the Deco pieces -what about you?

Love distinctive, striking designs but these are not suitable for all occasions. This Trifari pearl and gilt necklace is quite the opposite but suitable for so many more formal events - such as weddings etc. I do try to have something for everybody in the shop.

Love the work of Guilemette l'Hoir. Working with galalith and other materials from approx. 1976-1985. Very collectible. I have this brooch in 3 different colours. Red. White and black. Rarely wear red so will be selling this one. Not been too well so not been in the shop or working on web site. It will be going up there when I can get my head in gear! Hope to be back at Alfies Antiques on Tuesday - so long as my Covid jab is not troublesome. If you want to see the brooch let me know. 'HoirBrooch

Kenneth Jay Lane. The Orion Star Brooch made for QVC. Has red pouch and certificate of Authenticity. Beautifully made. My latest buy! I simply cannot turn good pieces down! .

Have now got all the pieces of the Van der Straeten set together. Famous for high quality gold plated jewellery from the 1980s-1990s. Stopped production to concentrate on furniture and lighting apparently. Fetches high prices when it can be found. Now have to get it onto the web site before any bits go missing again.

This Van der Straeten brooch is driving me mad! Somewhere I have the earrings to match. When I find the earrings I have lost the brooch. It is very large and impressive and I do want to pair up the set. Task for today - find somewhere to put this that I can see where it is without moving it out of the way! Then try to find the earrings!

I love seeing what my young customers are wearing. This outfit - on a young student from China - is just amazing. She was not keen for her face on film but was happy for the back view. Just splendid! AlfiesAntiques

I love mirror glass necklaces but they are hard to find in good condition. Love the small diamante stones in between. This one will be going on the web site when I am fully awake. After all these years getting into the web site and loading items still makes me nervous!

I love scarves and often wear them to liven up my usual black. Just got this one in. It is Liberty but has lost the sewn in label. It is a later Cunard one - 2024 I believe - but so lovely and soft/silky. Will put it in the shop but not worried if it does not sell! #
