Bear Brooksbank is a fine jewellery studio based in East London. After graduating from the Gemological Institute of America in 2008, Bear cut her craft working with renowned antique jewellery dealer Humphrey Butler until she launched eponymous brand in 2012.

Our East London heritage

My personal roots to East London go back nine generations.
My great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather Stamp Brooksbank (Governor of the Bank of England) bought land in Hackney in the 1720s and built Hackney House. Long since gone, Homerton Hospital now rests on the site. Brooksbank Street and Brooksby’s Walk are within the gardens and fields once so loved by Stamp. My two children were born at Homerton Hospital and I have lived proudly with my family in Hackney for nearly two decades.

The landscape and its residents provide a constant source of inspiration and I feel blessed to call it home.

One of my favourite 2026 vintage finds - Part of Vintage Drop 2

Pair of 1940s 18ct yellow, rose gold and platinum diamond drop 🎀 earrings

The ribbon forms suspending pointed drops, with single-cut diamond accents set in platinum
Measuring approx 4cm in length and 2.5cm at the widest point
Tested as 18ct gold and platinum
Weighing a total of 13.3grams

Notes from Bear - One of my favourite 2026 vintage finds. These were sourced from NYC and tick all my boxes. Giving 1940s flavour and mega impact whilst being super wearable. These have been lovingly converted from clip fittings to post and butterfly fittings by our Hatton Garden workshop.
