I’m delighted to be virtually present at one of Miss Laura Astrologo Porche ‘s talk about Memento Mori, at Gemgeneve this year.
In her talk titled “Memento Mori, memento vivere:
from Victorian mourning jewelry to the in contemporary jewelry”, Laura will talk about how jewelry has served as a powerful language of symbolism, memory and identity.
Among its enduring motifs is the memento mori, a reminder of life’s fragility and the inevitability of death.
Laura will mention a few amazing designers and jewelry artists, and I am as lucky as to be one of them.
