This Barcelona spot really understood the assignment 👍

Dinner at was such a great find; a lively Basque-style restaurant with pintxos on display and a really solid selection of Spanish tapas 🥘

You can just pick from the counter as you go, which makes it feel casual and fun, rather than overly formal.

I also tried some fresh oysters 🦪, which were pushed on the menu that day; paired with a glass of Prosecco 🥂, they were perfect.

The staff were genuinely friendly and upbeat 😊, which added to the whole experience and made it feel really welcoming.

It’s quite a large venue with both counter seating and tables, so it works just as well for solo dining as it does for bigger groups.

They also have a London spot 🇬🇧 so you don’t even need to fly to Barcelona to get a taste of ii.

Stepping into Herboristeria del Rei (or Rey?) felt like entering another world ✨🌿

One of the oldest herbal shops in Barcelona, filled with the scent of herbs, essential oils, honey, spices, natural cosmetics, candles and the most beautiful ceramic aroma decorations 🕯️💚

I bought a few ceramic pieces that you can drop aromatic oils onto; some became gifts for friends, and a couple are still hanging on my flat wall today 💕
I still refill them with essential oils from time to time, and the scent instantly brings me back to Barcelona 🥹

And this magical place was actually featured in the film adaptation of Perfume: The Story of a Murderer, based on the novel Perfume 😭✨
As someone who loved both the book and the film, discovering that made the visit even more special 🥺💕

Honestly one of the most beautiful and atmospheric shops I’ve ever visited in Spain 🇪🇸

Sunny terrace lunch memories from Thessaloniki ☀️🇬🇷

Back in March 2024, we spent a beautiful afternoon dining outside at To Elliniko restaurant, soaking up the sunshine and good vibes ✨

We ordered a variety of dishes to share, and the grilled cuttlefish was an absolute highlight; perfectly cooked and full of flavour 🤤💕 The dessert was just as impressive and honestly, this ended up being the best meal we had during our time in Thessaloniki.

The staff were genuinely lovely, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable, and the prices felt very reasonable for the quality.

One little tip though: when entering your PIN on their card machine, the number layout changes randomly. If you rely on muscle memory rather than the actual numbers, it might catch you off guard 😳 so take an extra second to double-check! 😉

Definitely a spot I’d return to without hesitation 💙

I’ll be honest… when I first saw the OTE Tower in Thessaloniki during my visit in March 2024, I genuinely wasn’t sure it was even open 🙈 it looked quite dated from the outside (sorry! 🙏)

But then we spotted a staff member heading in, followed her lead, and hopped into the lift… and WOW 😳.

The moment we reached the on top, we were completely blown away by the 360° view 🤍
Only after sitting down did we realise… the entire floor was slowly rotating! 😳

So if you stay long enough, you get every view; from the sea 🌊 to the mountains ⛰️, bright sunshine to a dreamy sunset 🌅

We ended up staying about 2 hours, just watching the view slowly change around us while sipping prosecco 🥂 and the staff were incredibly friendly and charming too ✨

If you’re ever in Thessaloniki, I’d definitely recommend giving this place a visit 🤍

This Thessaloniki café surprised me 😳

March 2024 in Thessaloniki 🇬🇷; I’d been walking for hours and desperately needed a break when I stumbled across this charming old café, Prigipos.

Then I opened the menu… and laughed 🤣
A WHOLE PAGE just for hot chocolates! 🤣👍
Of course I had to order one; mine had liqueur and whipped cream ☕️
It was a bit chilly that day and it warmed me up instantly.

The place also had a little stage for live music and shelves full of board games, such a cosy vibe.

But the biggest surprise… the toilets! 😳
I swear I hadn’t seen that style since my grandmother’s old house!! 😳😳😳

Definitely one of those random travel moments that makes a trip memorable! 🤣👍

Visited the Holy Church of Panagia Dexia in Thessaloniki during my trip to Greece in March 2024 🇬🇷

I’m not religious, but I’m interested in visiting old churches and temples because the craftsmanship is just incredible ✨
The details and atmosphere were absolutely beautiful.

Panagia Dexia dates back to the 1800s and is believed to stand near the place where Apostle Paul once preached in Thessaloniki. The church is also known for its sacred icon of the Virgin Mary, which many people believe has miraculous powers.

Even if you’re not religious, it’s one of those places that really makes you pause and appreciate the history and artistry 🙏

Wild turtles… at an ancient Roman monument?! 😳🐢

When I visited the Rotunda of Galerius in Thessaloniki back in March 2024, the first thing that welcomed me wasn’t the history; it was a group of wild turtles! 🐢
I’d seen plenty of cats around the city, but turtles were definitely not what I expected. 🤣

Then I looked up and realised how incredible this place really is. Built in the early 4th century, this huge circular building has been standing for over 1,700 years. Many modern buildings wouldn’t last anywhere near that long! 😳

And the mosaics on the vast ceiling… absolutely stunning 😍 I spent so long staring up at them that my neck actually started hurting 😭 but honestly, it felt like looking straight into a piece of history that has survived centuries. ✨
