Friends, colleagues and clients, help us out: we've been shortlisted for a WatchPro award and would appreciate your votes 👀💅 Link is in our bio.
We've been put forward for the customer service category and looking at our competition it's looking quite David and Goliath. Customer Service is at the core of what we do and goes hand in hand with our skills at the bench, flexibility where it's required, understanding of what's really important to people, and persevering to make sure things are done right, even when it's difficult. It's important to me and all my colleagues share that.

While you're there, we have a few pals in other categories; Fears, The Watch Club and Chris Ward to name a few.

Very unique case on this Mido Multifort. Made by the famous case maker Francois Borgel (known earlier for trench watches) this same design was also used by Lecoultre. The front and back fit tightly over a case ring with an integrated crown tube. Then, three camping pieces slide over dovetails on the sides, one on the left and a pair either side of the crown on the right, to lock everything in place.

( This lovely example is coming up for sale at Roseberys London Auctioneers )

Studio views showing a couple of clocks on test through not one, not two but three Smiths square mystery clocks. These are all in for various repairs and restoration including manufacturing some replacement parts that are either damaged beyond use or missing completely.

A quite special and very interesting electric clock on the bench at the moment. Many more wheels of much higher quality than you'd normally expect to see.

Many watch collectors may already know that most watch movements can usually be identified by a factory and calibre mark under the balance. Sometimes, if a retailer or 'watchmaker' wants to hide the fact that they've not made the movement themselves, they cut this out. It's so STUPID because we all know what was there before you cut that random bore, Montre Royale. Why would you waste my time like that, now I have to look up the calibre based on the keyless mechanism and OH LOOK you still didn't make this movement did you. What do you think you're bloody hiding from us.

An Omega 503 recently serviced taking some time for testing as a movement before it's reassembled and re-tested. This work takes lots of careful checking every step of the way. Sometimes it's two steps forward one step back, sometimes it's no steps forward and three steps back to catch a small issue causing a problem.

An early quartz Tissot with a calibre 2031 from the late 70s.
