Ludlow Bookbinders Ludlow Bookbinders Ltd produce a wide range of books, photograph albums, leather bound, clothbound and bespoke goods tailored to the customers requirements

Ludlow bookbinders are steeped in the finest traditions of English Craft Bookbinding. We produce short run, leather or cloth bound books, for bespoke limited editions, complete with slipcases or Solander boxes. Our papers are sourced from Nepal, Japan, Italy, France, and Germany, and we use the finest of English hand-marbled papers. We have an astonishing array of leathers and book cloths, from al

l over the world, and can create and advise on the widest range of colour and material combinations. In addition, we offer edge gilding and foil blocking 'in house' and have access to craftsmen across the country, from silversmiths and engravers, to foredge painters and book designers. Our award winning design team will work with you to produce a stunning book that reflects your personality and that of the author or organisation. We also offer repairs: invisibly, seamlessly and to the highest museum grade standards and rebinds, for those treasured tomes. It is our belief that our hand bound books, properly looked after, will last for generations and there's not much, made now, that will do that!

We celebrated not one but four winners at the last night 🤩

The Alchemist won best British book
Frozen Hell was the champion of the Fine Binding category
And Bewoulf won not only best in print production but also book of the year!

All our shortlisters are worthy of celebrating and we take great pride in celebrating the incredible talent that the British book world has to offer.

Thank you to the awards for having us and to our customers who continue to push us as we innovate, overcome and make beautiful books to last a life time - we love creating these projects with you!

The Ludlow Fine Book Fair is back! Join us for a weekend of beautiful books, traditional printing, bookbinding, rare finds and more at Ludlow Racecourse on 17th & 18th October 2026. Entry is free and there’ll be craft stalls, live demos and don’t worry a cafe stocked with delicious local products.

Put it in your diaries now and stay tuned as we announce the exhibitors and demos to come - this is not one to miss! ✨📚

Ludlow Bookbinders are looking for someone to fill a temporary position between January and End of May 2026. Due to demand in the early parts of the year, we are looking for someone to make slipcases for our books!

The hours are 8am-4.30pm Monday to Thursday, 8am-1.30pm on Fridays.

Full or part time positions available for the right candidate.

Free to attend at the Clive Pavilion, Ludlow Racecourse, from 10am on 26-27th October 2024. Free parking on site.
