This library book nook has been on my wish list for the longest time. Thank you to my girl for the best Christmas gift.
From every individual book, map and poster to the concealed lighting, the level of detail is insane. I’m almost sad that the process is finished.
On the bright side, it’s allowed me to clear some work space and focus on something new. Watch this space!

In a post Christmas clear, out my thoughts turned to all those lovingly written birthday cards that sit in the cupboard for a couple of years before going into the recycling bin.
I wanted to try the idea of permanent birthday greetings instead. My big sister .baxter.3597 is the Guinea Pig!
She loves penguins, but here is a Puffin instead 🤷‍♀️ with a birthday greeting on the back (date removed of course).
I expect to see it hanging in her new garden studio for many years to come 😜. Happy Birthday sis’ xx

I fancied something a bit different with this frame, so I used some supplies I had lying around. Green acrylic paint and some five year old Modge Podge. I think it picks up the green in the design really well.
This is a really lovely design by .and.creative. Plenty of new techniques to learn.

I’m on a steep learning curve with this new hobby. This kit by .and.creative has enabled me to get lots of new stitches under my belt;
-Cretan Stitch
-Up and down Buttonhole Stitch
-Woven Back Stitch
-whipped Chain Stitch
-Fly Stitch
-Couching

I should finish the last few bits tonight and then I’m going to try something a little bit different for the frame. Fingers crossed!

I’ve always been a big reader, so this eternal bookstore Book Nook is my dream fantasy room. These are the first 6 of a total of 61 books to make for the room. I may be some time and I can’t wait!
