Include Me TOO, Black SEN Mamas and South Asian SEN Mamas have organised an important event for parents and carers from our diverse SEND communities regarding the SEND Reforms impact on Black, Asian and minoritised disabled children, young people, and their families.

Despite the growing evidence of racial disparity in SEND, particularly as far as being disproportionately impacted by inequality, barriers to support, exclusion, and lack of representation, Black, Asian and minoritised disabled children and young people are STILL being overlooked within conversations around SEND reform.

This is an interactive virtual event, aimed at ensuring the voices from racialised communities are being platformed, in conversations surrounding SEND. We strongly encourage SEND parents/carers, teachers, specialists, and allies to attend.

We aim to explore what can we do collectively to influence better futures for our Black, Asian and minoritised disabled children and young people.

Join us at this event:

The impact of SEND Reforms on Black, Asian and minoritised disabled children, young people, and their families

Discussions will cover:

 Do the SEND reforms risk disproportionately affecting Black, Asian and minoritised disabled children and young people?
 Black, Asian and minoritised disabled children and young people have faced inequality within the SEND system what needs to change
 Why it is important to ensure our voices are heard and views considered within the SEND Reforms Proposal.
 How can we collectively address the barriers and challenges for our advocacy, inclusion, representation to protect the futures of our disabled children and young people.

We cannot risk Black, Asian and minoritised disabled children and young people and families to be further disadvantaged and left further behind.
Do join us and attend this important event as our intersectional experiences continue to be overlooked.

You can register a place for this event by registering on this link https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/d2TjBCvGRMabcjAW2AKx6g

Taking place on Wednesday 3rd June 2026, place online via Zoom

Morning - 10:15am to 12:15pm
Evening 7:00pm – 9:00pm
