We are all ready. Malton in Bloom plant stall, Market Place, Malton (St Michaels Church side). Lots of interesting plants. See you tomorrow from 10pm.

Malton in Bloom will have its first plant stall of the year at the Little Bird Made Market, outside St Michaels Church, Market Place, on Saturday 23rd May. The weather looks good so come say hi to the team and buy a plant. The market will be trading from 10am to 3pm. Malton in Bloom will have a wide selection of plants from annuals, perennials, herbs and vegetables. See you there.

Brave Malton in Bloom volunteers faced the elements today, but the rain held off in the main, and we managed to get the Market Place planted up. Thank you volunteers. Next up - Thursday, we will be planting the roundabouts and the horse sculpture.

As well as providing floral displays sometimes there are many individual maintenance tasks. Here our Town Ranger has removed the suckers from the bottom of the tree on one of our verges on Castle Howard Road, which take valuable nutrients and weaken the tree, so their removal leaves the tree healthier.
