Today is a strange kind of day... it’s Callum’s birthday and also the anniversary of losing him. Grief is messy like that. It puts celebration and heartbreak in the same room and expects you to breathe through both.

But here’s what I’ve learned, and what I hope reaches anyone struggling today: the people we lose don’t just disappear. They plant seeds in us long before we realise we’re growing from them.

Callum did that for me.
He gave me the perfect, funniest little boy, Junior.
He showed love to Harvey and Harrison in a way only he could.
And he left pieces of himself in all of us that still guide me, even now.

So today, we celebrate his birthday. We choose joy where we can find it. I honour the growth he started in me. And I hold space for anyone who’s grieving... however your grief looks, you’re not doing it wrong and you're never alone.

Happy Birthday, Callum.
