What a busy week!

Apologies Ive been a bit quiet on here but its been non stop in the workshop this week 😊

Watching my little shop become a hive of activity with clients old and new popping into the shop, the emails ringing through from new clients all over the UK, articles featuring our workshop in different watch magazines, the lads working as a team and absolutely smashing it...its been a little week of quiet reflection for me.

Ive had to take it all in a bit. What a ride its been over these 5 years to get us to where we are now. I feel very fulfilled and greatful and Im really enjoying my work.

That to me is priceless, so thank you x

So our first two stands we visited as soon as we walked into the hall were Bremont and Audemars Piguet. As we were one of the first people in zero queues for both which turned out to be a great decision!

Bremont and their staff were so lovely and told us all about their upcoming mission with Astrolab to put a rover called 'Flip' on the moon which will have a Bremont watch on board! They also plan on leaving it there as the first British watch to land on the moon and stay there indefinitely!

Audemars for me stole the show with their stand and and displays, it was really really impressive. You walked through a series of themed rooms housing significant historic pieces before seeing some of the newer models, being able to speak to watch technicians about new chronograph designs was an absolute highlight!

So this was a really impressive start to the day!

Hello!

Its been a while apologies, but dont worry there will be much contect to share this week!

So I kept it quiet but me and the boys have been away at Watches and Wonders in Geneva!

This is something Ive always wanted to come to and this year I decided to whisk the two Mikes off to go and see what its all about and wow.

Weve had an amazing time, being in a place with so many like minded people speaking to others about watches, tools, watchmaking and just having the time of our lives.

Only bloody met two of our friends of the business over there as well! Great to see you guys!

Ive got a long week ahead in work and Im hoping to put some content together and do a bit of a debrief and what we thought of the show.

Whilst Im still high on a cloud of horology heaven though...Im buzzing (and also shattered after walking about 12 miles! 🀣)

Incredible. Cant wait to share what weve seen with you guys x

The amount of times I see ladies Rolex watches with diamond bezels fitted and diamond dot dials fitted but one small detail missed...not fitting "diamond cut" hands.

Leaving the longer hands on then bending them up to go over the diamonds on the dial, once the minute hand is bent up then the seconds hand has to be. Then you run the risk of them touching the glass and affecting timekeeping.

So Ive corrected this for our client, and also changed all the gaskets and pressure tested it for them too...peace of mind restored πŸ˜€
