I’m so pleased with how this ring turned out contemporary yet classic, with a subtle asymmetric feel.

I explored a range of different layouts to get it just right for my client, carefully considering how it would sit on her finger and feel when worn. The final design strikes that perfect balance between elegance and individuality.

Just another upcycling project I worked on last year 😍

We absolutely loved designing and handcrafting this beautiful bracelet, bringing new life to sentimental gold and diamonds. Adding turquoise gave it that perfect splash of colour against the warm rose gold tones ✨

This was an unusual project and definitely not a straightforward one.

Turning a free-form rose-cut diamond brooch into a diamond ring meant there were no uniform shapes to work with every stone was different. The biggest challenge was figuring out how to even start.

The breakthrough came when I laid the diamonds out on masking tape, exactly how I wanted them, and drew around them to capture the basic shape. From there, I translated the design into wax, cast it in platinum, and refined the form ready for setting.

Setting these stones was its own challenge they’re all different shapes and incredibly thin, almost like slices, so every bit of pressure had to be carefully controlled to avoid chipping or breaking them. (Thankfully, I had a few spares just in case.)

All in all, this piece pushed me but it brought together everything I’ve learned to create this ring.
