There’s still 1 last minute space available this weekend for a 2 day course all about adding colour to anodised aluminium. This course is only scheduled for a limited number of times so grab a space while you can. It’s taking place on Saturday and Sunday with day 1 all about adding colour and then day 2 you can make some jewellery from your printed/dyed aluminium panels.

June is Birthday month for Cheshire School of Jewellery and It’s 7 years since I first opened my workshop. Today’s silver clay results, it’s always tricky to get the light right so the photo’s never to do the pieces justice.

If you have never worked with silver clay before then it’s a brilliant material that transforms into solid fine silver when you fire the clay. It’s great for a beginner and very easy to do at home, with very little equipment.

This is one of my most popular workshops with all dates currently full until October. There is also the first silver clay keepsake workshop taking place in September where you can transform your pet paw prints, baby footprints/handprints or fingerprints into jewellery. There’s also a silver clay leaf workshop in September and if that wasn’t enough there is a four day silver clay summer school taking place in July where you’ll get to try out lots of different techniques.

It’s 17 years since I first started working with silver clay and it’s such as fantastic material to work. There’s so many different techniques you can learn and silver clay summer school covers several including how to make a piece of fine silver jewellery from a real leaf! If you can’t commit to a 4 day intensive course though there is the option to learn some techniques in separate stand alone 1 day workshops (there’s just too much to learn to try to cram it all into a single day).

Silver clay leaf pendants is taking place in September and silver clay keepsakes is the same month. The regular silver clay jewellery workshop is taking place in October (all dates prior to this are full, that’s how popular this workshop is!)

Summer school does cover both these techniques plus so much more and it’s taking place in July.
