Jade's Jewellery was launched on the 11th of November 2020, I started out making earrings for fun and giving as gifts to my friends and family, after a while and after lots of planning and research I decided to take a chance and start Jade's Jewellery. Since starting Jade's Jewellery I have launched a range of different collections, made some amazing new friends in the small business community and I have also met some amazing customers some of which have became friends and repeat loyal customers. So the day has come, and today is the final day before I close Jade's Jewellery. 😞

I'm sad to be closing, I didn't think this day would come, but I do hope to reopen in the future 🤞

This journey has been amazing, nearly 4 years of running my small business, and even though it's had its ups and downs, I wouldn't change a single thing 🤍

The 50% off sale ends tonight at 23:59, and any orders placed will be posted by the end of the week.

Hi everyone ☺️

It's been a while since I last posted. My last post was on the 11th of June when I put up the 25% off sale, which is still up and running for another couple of days.

The post before that was me talking about what to do with Jade's Jewellery due to very slow sales this year and truthfully sales have still been extremely slow and it's quite heartbreaking as I have put so much hard work into my business since 2020 and watching it get slower and slower breaks me. The honest truth is that I have only had 4 sales in June, and only 3 in may. So, as of July 31st, Jade's Jewellery will be closing. It absolutely breaks my heart having to do this, but I can no longer justify keeping the business going due to the costs and gaining nothing back in return. I will be putting all my stock on clearance within the next couple of weeks. I am hoping one day to open Jade's Jewellery back up, but right now, I have to step away from it. 🥺

Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout my small business journey over the past 3 years and 8 months. I appreciate you all. I will still continue to support my amazing small business friends and other small businesses. I hope you all understand my decision.

Hi friends 👋🏻

So I've been back from my honeymoon for 8 days and I haven't been able to bring myself to come back to social media or back to Jade's Jewellery.

I had the most amazing time on my honeymoon ( I wish I was still there) and it gave me time to think about what I want, and truthfully I don't know where to take Jade's Jewellery next anymore, it's kind of came to a stand still this year so far has been my quietest year to date and I'm spending more money than I'm making and I think it might be time to close Jade's Jewellery which is sad to think 🥺

I am going to give Jade's Jewellery until the end of July and then I think we are going to close down the business after 3.5 years of running it, running a small business is so difficult we have so much competition out there with these massive brands that it's hard to keep ourselves noticed 😔 I'm going to try for the next couple of months and see where we go but if sales don't pick up I am unfortunately going to have to close at the end of July. In the mean time I need to clear some stock so another sale will be coming soon.

Holiday mode is activated ☀️

I am away on my honeymoon tomorrow and I won't be around until the 24th of May, my Etsy will remain open but all orders placed will not be packed or posted until I arrive home 🤍

If anyone in the meantime has any questions I will try to answer them when I get a chance but I won't be on social media as much as I want to enjoy my belated honeymoon with my amazing husband 🏖️🤵🏻‍♂️

I NEED SOME ADVICE‼️⬇️

I'm a little bit stuck with Etsy, I've used Etsy since the beginning of my small business venture back at the end of 2020 and honestly I feel like as the years have gone on Etsy have just been taking more and more fees off of small business owners I started with Etsy as it was so convenient and easy to use and I was happy for a while with it but the past year I've become less happy with it all.. for example I got a sale for 2 pairs of earrings 2 days ago and that was for around £8 and after fees that came off I was only actually sent 79p of that money which is totally unfair considering how hard I work on my jewellery. I recently did up my prices a little bit as I had to justify more costs and also I offer from postage so needed to justify sify that cosy too with in my pricing but my earrings are still affordable to buy.

Now the thing I need help with is what do I do next? As the constant loss of money from Etsy is making me want to quit and not continue my business which isn't something I really want to do but I feel defeated all of them time 😔.. where else can I sell my jewellery that isn't going to cost so much money on fees? Do I make a website? How do I drive traffic to my own website if I was to create one compared to Etsy traffic?

My head is a mess with what I should do and honestly everyone on here are usually so good at giving advice and helping a fellow small business owner out 🤍
