Last Saturday Market of the summer season at Hay-on-Wye this week (3/10/26) and I’ll be there with lots of other fabulous makers, producers and creators. I’ll have all my usual offerings … necklaces, pendants, bracelets and earrings including these new makes … pretty in pink freshwater pearls with sparkly quartz spacers, Peruvian Opals in a lovely milky blue (it’s Octobers birthstone) and Tigers Eye for a regular customer.
I love the toffee browns of the Tigers Eye, the Opal is one of several pieces I’ve made for October - I’m going to bring back my ‘Birthstone Monthly Board’!! I’ll share very soon 😂 🩷🩵🤎 Hay Markets Ltd

Had a break from making and markets today and got some early autumn gardening done - such a lovely day and I did have an hour in the ‘Greek taverna’ enjoying the sunshine. Lots of late produce including grapes that I don’t know what to do with (I think I planted a w**e making variety 😳) the figs have had a second flush and I’ve never known them this small and sweet - the leeks are ready for winter Sunday roasts 😋

So to follow on from the previous post about making a necklace with one of the strands in the photo … I did and it promptly sold today at Hay-on-Wye market to a lovely lady.
A sunny day at market after a drive that started in the dark, included a spectacular sunrise, mist and a few wild animals … the contrasting journey home was full of huge vehicles with big loads on the country lanes culminating in a train carriage being transported through the Forest of Dean … I love my random commute 😳

Hay-on-Wye this week (Thursday 24/9/26) stock and display ready and packed for an early morning start and now I’m really tempted to turn one of these strands of freshwater pearls into a necklace but which one??! 🤔

I’m working on a couple of commissions but took a break from making to get photos of these Labradorite and sterling silver pieces. Labradorite is beautiful gemstone with colours that ‘flash’ as the stone moves as you do. Necklace and bracelets available plus earrings too.

A lovely day at Hay-on-Wye - penultimate Saturday market for the year (last one Saturday 3rd October) sun was out, lots of smiley happy people and best compliment customers wearing jewellery straight away! Hay Markets

Pearl jewellery is one of my best sellers and a few years ago I added ‘stretchy bracelets’ to the collection - I wasn’t sure but they’ve been so popular and now my granddaughter (who btw is growing into a beautiful young woman) requested one so I guess I’ll keep on making them especially as I’ve been given a thumbs up by the youth! 😂🥳😂

Lots of new amazonite pieces made and ready for Hay-on-Wye Hay Markets Ltd this Thursday (27/7/26) and The Faddle Fair, Coleford on Sunday (30/8/26) The Faddle Fair but I’m still working on some new pearl designs too in between painting the old shop windows and harvesting some of the fruit and veg that have survived our Mediterranean summer 😂
