I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for all the lovely messages, comments and support recently ❤️

Whether you’re a client, workshop guest, fellow creative or long-time supporter of the studio…it truly means so much.

As I ease myself back into the studio, your kindness and encouragement really do mean a great deal. I’m taking things super steadily…I’m settling into a rhythm that’s right for me, which feels really good.

beCHARLO has always been built on connection + community and I never take that for granted. Thank you for being here and for supporting handcrafted, story-led jewellery from my Isle of Wight studio.

Excited for what’s coming next… ✨

Which colour would you choose?

Each piece is shaped around its own fragment of sea glass, softened silver, time-worn glass and a quiet touch of white topaz. No two are ever the same, because the glass always leads the design.

I love working with sea glass for what it represents: something once sharp, weathered by time and tide, softened into something beautiful. Each piece carries its own history long before it reaches my bench.

One of these pendants is part of my collaboration with Mint & Wight 🤍over on Instagram. The draw takes place tomorrow (Monday) there’s still time to enter.

And if you’re already drawn to one, the collection is available online now.

A small moment of giving back

Together, we raised £308.80 for Horatio's Garden 📣🌿

This came from my charity Christmas crackers - small, thoughtfully made pieces created as part of the festive season, with proceeds donated to support the incredible work Horatio’s Garden does.

These gardens are created for people living with spinal injuries. Places designed to offer calm, restoration and a connection to nature during some of the hardest moments of recovery.

Following my own spinal injury and with surgery ahead as part of my ongoing treatment, I’ve come to really appreciate just how powerful those spaces can be. Quiet. Thoughtfully designed. Somewhere to pause, breathe, and feel held.

Being able to support Horatio’s Garden through my own practice and with the support of this community, feels deeply meaningful.

Thank you to everyone who chose a cracker, donated, shared, or supported in any way.
This one truly matters 💜

Pebble, revisited.

A familiar form, reimagined with softened edges, sea glass gathered from the Isle of Wight shoreline and a white topaz added for a quiet glint of light…and added sparkle ✨

This double pendant brings together texture and contrast smooth silver, time-worn glass and subtle sparkle, each element chosen to sit gently with the next.

Handcrafted slowly in my studio, no two pieces are ever the same. The sea glass leads the design, shaping the final form rather than the other way around.

A piece about balance, memory and carrying a small fragment of the coast with you.

Coming together quietly.
Tomorrow…. 👀

A little full-circle moment ✨

Spotted this week while crossing on the ferry with Wightlink Isle of Wight Ferries feature on my work in Wightlife, sharing space with so many talented Island makers.

This piece was photographed right here in the studio, hands at the bench, quietly doing what I do every day. Making slowly. Paying attention. Letting the work take the lead.

There’s something quite special about seeing your work out in the world like this, especially in a publication that celebrates local businesses, creativity and Island life so thoughtfully.

And yes… that’s my hand again.
Apparently I’ve become my own hand model now 😂 (an ongoing studio joke that clearly isn’t going anywhere) 💖

Grateful for the opportunity, the platform and the reminder that the quiet work matters.

These rings were made slowly, by hand, at the bench shaped, refined and revisited until they felt just right.

Each star is hand carved, one at a time, directly into the silver and gold. No two are ever exactly the same and that’s very much part of their story.

The silver ring is set with a white topaz, chosen for its soft, gentle sparkle and sense of calm.

The gold ring features coloured sapphires, each bringing its own warmth and character, subtle shifts of colour that catch the light as the ring is worn.

Stars have always felt symbolic to me, quiet markers of moments, reminders to pause, reflect and trust where you are. These aren’t perfect or uniform symbols; they’re hand-cut, human and intentionally a little irregular. Just like the stories we carry with us.

After sharing a bit about metal prices and what goes on behind the scenes yesterday, today felt like the right moment to show the end result.

Thoughtful materials. Considered making. Jewellery designed to be worn...not rushed.

✨ Available in the studio.

One of the best parts of running jewellery workshops is seeing people surprise themselves with what they can make ✨🙌

Hannah joined me in the studio to make this silver bangle, learning silversmithing techniques step by step and leaving with something deeply personal.

As she so perfectly put it:
“Becca explains not just how to do each step, but why each step is needed.”

Thank you Hannah for such kind words and for trusting the process ✨
If you’ve ever thought “I’d love to try that, but I don’t think I could” - this is your sign 🪧 have a look at my workshops via the link www.beCHARLO.co.uk

A few favourite makes of 2025.

Pieces shaped slowly at the bench, one by one…often beginning as a loose idea, a sketch, or a feeling and finding their form through making.

Some were deeply personal commissions, some were quiet experiments and others became part of a growing collection. Each one carries a moment in time: a conversation, a place, a season, or a lesson learned along the way.

2025 was a year of learning, refining, and trusting the process a little more…letting ideas take their time and allowing the work to evolve naturally rather than rushing it.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who trusted me with their stories, wore the pieces, shared kind words, or simply followed along behind the scenes. It all matters more than you know 🙌

And now, here’s to the next chapter.
New ideas taking shape, new pieces waiting to be made and a year of creating, sharing and seeing where the work leads next.

Here’s to the new makes of 2026 ✨
Books are now open for 2026. More soon, as the work unfolds…follow along to see what takes…

Bespoke jewellery designer and creator.

I started designing bangles to add to my collection and having them made. I loved that they are wearable pieces of art and so personal. One day the jeweller who had been making my bangles turned to me and said ‘well why don’t you make them? You already design them’. I thought what me?!

So ten years ago I started developing my skills starting from the basics and learning the process. Watching my drawings come to life is that most incredible and satisfying feeling.

After four years of working on my skills and techniques, I began making pieces of jewellery to order and with positive customer feedback it has allowed me to grow my own business sharing the joy of bespoke jewellery and wearable art.

I would describe my style as rustic with an organic approach. I love different textures and using mixed materials, incorporating stones .
