As we mark Disability Awareness Week, all of us at Jack Murphy Jewellers want to celebrate a very special member of our extended company family, Moya, and the incredible community that enriches her life every day β€οΈ
Moya, granddaughter of our founders Jack and Pat Murphy, is autistic, non-verbal, and has learning disabilities π She reminds us daily that success comes in many forms, and that true inclusion creates opportunities for everyone to thrive β¨
This past week alone, Moya received the Golden Ball at Special Olympics basketball, performed with her inclusion choir at a Gateway Extravaganza fundraiser, took part in her local inclusive drama groupβs show, and proudly participated in GAA for All with her local football club β
These achievements are made possible by the dedication, kindness, and belief of so many people in our community π€© To her sister, carers, the coaches, volunteers, teachers, assistants, organisers, teammates, fellow performers, families, and friends who welcome, encourage, and support Moya, thank you π Your commitment to inclusion creates opportunities, builds confidence, nurtures friendships, and brings joy π₯°
Disability Awareness Week reminds us that meaningful inclusion happens when everyone is given the opportunity to participate, contribute, and belong π We are deeply grateful to be part of a community that embraces these values π«Άπ»
We are so proud of Moya and of everyone who helps make her world brighter each and every day βΊοΈπβ¨
