New doughnut bowl, trying high firing techniques. This one was created using transparent flux, leaded white and black. It is amazing how the colours change in the kiln to create green and blue. Lump crackle was added which melts and slumps and reveals the gold of the copper underneath. I love it.

I am having a bit of a bowl fest at the moment. This one was made from experiments with the high firing technique described in Pat Johnson's book (Enamel on Copper), loaned by a friend. It was inspired by Japanese cherry blossoms, made using transparent flux as the base and opaque white with sgraffito trees. The cherry blossoms were made with glass seed beads. I love how the high firing has made the white turquoise.

Hand-spun copper bowl created into a flower shape with a piercing saw and further formed using a hammer and leather sandbag. This bowl has a white base layer of enamel and was then hand-painted with wet lay mauve enamel to create a speckled effect. Tiny glass seed beads were placed in the centre and fired into the enamel. I love this process.

Experiments with different coloured crackles. This bowl (hand-spun by hubby Gordon) is covered in different opaque and transparent leaded green enamels on a hard white base with green crackle. Love how it turned out. 🙂

Just listed this pendant on my Etsy shop (www.etsy.com/wildlyabstract). Inspired by a macro photo of an animal's eye it features enamel threads, lump and metallic lustre for that extra sparkle.

I love this blue crackle recipe it reminds of seeing through a blizzard. The trinket tray is a teardrop shape hand-pierced from copper sheet.

I have created these cute little girl hanging decorations inspired by pictures of Christmas angels. The hair is made from glass seed beads fused onto fine silver wire. I really enjoyed making these. 🙂
