Incredibly strong vibrant blue interplaying with a fresh white to create a pattern of cells and connections. It's how I'd imagine a thought would look captured in the brain!

This brooch is a statement piece c 2 inch diameter, and backed with beautiful woad coloured mottled boiled wool, and gold plated barrel pin.

So I've found some lovely boiled wool in John Lewis Norwich in this gorgeous mottled woad colour which I have used to back my copper brooches, as an alternative to counter- enamelling them, or leaving the copper raw and waxed.

I really appreciate the additional layer of texture in the design...what do you think?

Autumn Equinox today. I've gathered some of the gorgeous rich colours of autumn here, from the current collection, to share with you.

I'm in John Lewis Norwich, 20 to 27 September, and you can find me by the main till near glassware on the ground floor ( a hop and a skip from the newly opened Christmas shop here).

Ancient Greek day at school....these parent crafting projects are the best fun!! Bed sheets, tissue paper, cardboard boxes, leftover present ribbon, and lots of sellotape!! This was a combined effort including sword made by Godfather.....creativity, arts and crafts are dwindling in school curriculums.....let's celebrate them whenever possible!! ###
