‘Mummy’ — by far the best job title I’ll ever have ❤️

Scrolling through some old order photos earlier and came across this beauty of gemstone custom order 🌙✨

We’re 2/10 days down of my first half term trying to balance two children under 5 with running a business 🫣😂

I’ve very quickly come to terms with the fact that, for the next two weeks, this is going to have to be a purely evening job… Although, after years of late nights working it’s nothing we’re not used to! 🫠

But honestly, I feel so incredibly lucky to have worked hard enough to make this possible 🥹

My girls might actually be desperate for holiday clubs and completely sick of the sight of me by the end of the holidays - but for now I’m just grateful that we have the choice 🩷

What I’ve done for ‘work’ today ✨ How lucky am I that I get to call this my job? 🥹

I’ve been busy prepping lots of pretty things for a couple of Christmas markets coming up 🎄

It’s still feeling a bit surreal that I get to spend my days making jewellery, packing orders and building this little business of mine. Feeling so grateful for this next chapter ✨❤️

Since last weekend the amount of enquiries for upcoming workshops has been amazing - THANKYOU so much 🥹

I’m so excited to have 3 more dates confirmed for you around Nottinghamshire this side of Christmas 😁

They’re a mix of weekend and evenings so hopefully anyone who was after a spot can make one of the dates 🤞

We will be at:

- Pitcher and Piano, Notts City Centre, Weds 18th November
- Chrispies Bakes, Mapperley, Sunday 6th December

What an afternoon 🥹

My very first Peeka Jewellery workshop is officially done, and I honestly couldn’t have wished for a lovelier one.

I’ve loved seeing everyone create something completely their own. There was SO much variety in what you all made, and I left feeling genuinely inspired by all of your gorgeous makes, creativity and ideas. Thank you for bringing so much enthusiasm, personality and your own vision to the afternoon 🫶🏻
And a huge thank you to Christpies Bakes for having me 🩷

There’s a little story behind why hosting my first workshop here felt particularly special…

Just over four years ago, when I was heavily pregnant and our house was half falling down, we got let down by a plumber. The builder working on our house managed to rope in a plumber he knew to save the day and, thankfully, get us at least some functioning plumbing before the baby arrived 😵‍💫

Along with being the best tradesperson we could have hoped for, one day he turned up with a box of Chrispies bakes 🤤

It turned out his partner, Christie, was an incredible baker with a baking business, selling at local foodie markets. I remember sending my team a picture of these ridiculous-looking cookies and brownies.

We might not have had a functioning kitchen, and our house may have been absolute chaos, but we DID have some very delicious sweet treats to get us through 😆

(Thankfully, we got a kitchen AND functioning plumbing just before the baby arrived! 🐣)

Since then, Chrispies has been our absolute favourite for cookies and brownies, and we’ve loved watching Christie’s business go from strength to strength - from still selling out local markets to her own constantly packed out shop - all while also being a brilliant champion of so many other small local businesses along the way.

So, with less than a week until I take Peeka Jewellery full time, I genuinely couldn’t be prouder or more grateful to have hosted my very first workshop at Chrispies🥹

A little full-circle moment that means a lot 🩷

I DID IT 🥹✨

After months of learning, making, melting, sawing, soldering, filing, polishing, and sending things off for marking (and questioning my life choices working away late into the night 😂)… I can finally say that I’ve passed my Jewellers Academy Silver Diploma! 🤍

When I started this, I honestly had no idea how much I would learn or how much I would fall back in love with the process of actually making jewellery and all the elements from scratch ❤️

There have definitely been moments where I’ve thought “why on earth am I doing this?” but looking at this certificate now makes every burnt and sawed through finger and very late night completely worth it 🌚🌛

… aaaand the timing feels pretty special because I have just one week left in my corporate career before I take the plunge into running Peeka Jewellery full-time 🥹✨

What started as a little jewellery side hustle has somehow brought me here… and I genuinely cannot wait to see where it goes next.

Officially a qualified silversmith(ish) now 😉🥂

Here’s to making more, learning more and hopefully getting considerably better at polishing along the way. 😂

Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey and dealt with the emotions of someone who gets about 2 hours sleep a night (lack of sleep also thanks in part to my bed buddy little girls 🫣😆)

✨ Jewellers Academy Silver Diploma - passed September 2026 ✨

One day my daughters will ask me,

“Did you sacrifice your dreams for me?”

And I’ll be able to say:

“No. I chased them with you by my side.” 🤍

Building a business while raising a family (and having a full time job 🥴) hasn’t been easy. There are more late LATE nights than I can count, messy workspaces, endless doubt, and a LOT of juggling.

But I want my girls to grow up seeing that you can be a mum and be present, and still have big dreams of your own.

So, this is me chasing mine. ✨

And hopefully, one day, they’ll look back and realise they were never the reason I couldn’t do it.

They were my reason to try ❤️
