Carolyn Codd Jewellery Award winning designers and makers of Fine Bespoke Jewellery. Diamond and Wedding ring specialists. We are also able to offer fairtrade wedding bands.

Award winning independent family business in the heart of the wonderful city of Nottingham. We design and create fine quality bespoke jewellery in our on site design studio and workshop. Our customers have the rare opportunity to have pieces designed just for them, tour our workshop and meet the actual makers of your jewellery. Our website will give you a flavour our unique jewellery designs and the personal process by which we create our pieces. We only work with the finest quality metals and conflict free gemstones and diamonds. Our opening times are 9.30-5pm Monday to Saturday. A truly special Teal Sapphire engagement ring with gorgeous 18ct Gold hand sculpted detail.

Our bespoke engagement rings are designed and hand fabricated in our on-site Nottingham workshop by expert makers with over 30 years experience... We have a large collection of original and unique precious pieces in store but approximately 90% of our pieces are individually designed for the person commissioning them.

Emerald Cut diamonds are a firm favourite at Carolyn Codd's and this week have have received as fabulous collection of stones for this weeks enquiries and for pieces for our window. Emerald cut diamonds are elongated, rectangular shaped and chiseled step cuts, with straight linear facets. A great choice for Art Deco inspired pieces.

Designed to show more "bars" of light rather than the "dazzle" of rounds or Princess cut diamonds, Emerald cut diamonds are truly an elegant choice. The shape really provides a lengthening look to a ladies hand when set portrait however recently we have been offering a more contemporary look with the emerald cut set horizontally.

Colour and clarity in Emerald cuts are much more noticeable therefore we recommend keeping to F VVS2 and above and of course, as always, we recommend looking at at least 6 or more diamonds at a time when selecting the right stone for you.
