John Gowing Jewellers Established in 1946, John Gowing Jewellers is an independent jewellers in Oxford's Covered Market Bespoke diamond and gemstone jewellery is our speciality.

We sell quality new and pre-owned watches, as well as jewellery including exquisite diamond rings, fine quality earrings and wedding rings, Ti Sento and Trollbeads. "John and I were unaware that this award had been extended in this way, and therefore paid it little attention as we felt our business was too small to be noticed. When this month’s edition of Retail Jeweller popped through the door with the Inspiring Independents brochure and full listing, we were astounded to find ourselves included in the list!

We’re the only shop in Oxford to make it! What means the most to John and I - was that every business was voted for by its peers in the industry, a true testament to the retailers that are held in high regard not only by their suppliers, service providers and industry bodies, but also by other retailers in the trade.

We have sold, created, repaired and cared for some of the finest watches and jewellery in the last 70 years. John Gowing Jewellers help to ensure that craftsmanship is kept very much alive in British jewellery and watch making. We sell an exquisite range of diamond and gem rings, wedding rings and jewellery with emphasis on quality and value to our customers. Bespoke design is a speciality. We are stockists of Ti Sento and Trollbeads. On the watch side, we stock a wide range of quality timepieces including Michel Herbelin, Tissot, TW Steel and Mondaine and we also specialise in pre-owned watches. Our repair service for both jewellery and watches is second to none, and many repairs can be carried out on the premises.
