Whatever would we do without our trusty laser printer?

Here at Yemaya Collections, we have an extremely crucial machine, which is our laser printer! It cuts out our earring backings, and engraves our gorgeously intricate necklace boxes, and even makes POS stands.

There really is no limit to what we can make with this machine: stay tuned for more exciting projects this year!

Where do we find our sea glass?

We are so incredibly lucky to have so many beaches on our doorstep. Living in Cornwall really is a blessing! However, we do have our favourites, especially for picking up sea glass, and our top three are:

🏖️ Marazion
This beach spans so far that you can cover a lot of areas; the best places being along the shoreline where the pebbles deposit and catch on the sand.

🏖️ Sennen Cove
The gorgeous sands of Sennen are perfect for finding smaller pieces of sea glass, if you know where to look. Closer to the shore, if you sit and dig, you are sure to find those tiny slivers of colour.

🏖️ Portreath
The strong winds that can hit Portreath beach are ideal for blowing in sea glass to this delightful spot. Searching along the shoreline is best, strolling along and spotting it as you go.

What are the benefits to using stainless steel?

Stainless steel has an incredible amount of benefits and uses in the jewellery industry. For us at Yemaya, since a lot of our jewellery pieces are ocean-inspired, we like to make sure that the products we sell can be worn in the sea too, and one of the benefits of stainless steel is that it can be used in the water.

It is extremely tough, so is frequently used in adjustable pieces like our bangles, and does not tarnish as quickly as metals such as sterling silver.
