Just one match on the boat this weekend. It was the latest round of the Lymington and district sea angling club Vernon Everett Match league. Just 13 anglers this time due to some members fishing for England in the Home Nations in Ireland. Lovely day out again with 21 species in total, including lots and lots of Bream , Garfish, Gurnards, some nice Plaice,Bass , Pollack,Dabs and Turbot.

What an absolutely stunning 9 days at sea we have had , and the fishing for the most part has been great . Inshore there has been plenty of Bream some nice Bass, Gurnards , Garfish, Place, some great species fishing first Weaver of the year, and first Gilthead Bream as well!
Offshore there has been plenty of Tope, lots more Bream , Pollack ,Bullhuss and the odd Ray
In the Piscary species hunt the boat tally is now 43

First it was the Hampshire Police's latest team selection match, it was a bit of a tricky day but they did have 18 species including the first Sea Scorpion of the year top 3 on the day

Next it was the first Piscary open of the year. Bit of a different match where all the fish caught count. There were 10 anglers on the boat & they had a total of 340 fish but only 9 species, we did have the first Red Bream of the year though. Top 3 on the day

Next it was the latest round of the Piscary Sunday league, absolutely stunning weather again and a smallish tide so we decided to go offshore anchoring, it was an absolutely amazing day with 15 species, which is very good for this type of trip 38 big Tope, 15 Bullhuss, Bream , Cuckoo Wrasse, Pollack,3 breared Rockling and Undulate Ray. Top 3 on the boat

Piscary Super league this week. The Thursday group were faced with a very strong Northerly wind which made the fishing conditions a little difficult 16 species on the day including a few Plaice,Dabs, The first Grey Gurnard,Bass and a couple of 3 Bearded Rockling. Top 3 on the day

The Friday group had much better luck with the weather flat calm seas in the morning made for some great fishing 18 species in total on the day.
Quite a lot of very nice Plaice! Thornback Rays, Undulate Ray ,Bass, more Grey Gurnards,Dabs, Cuckoo Wrasse and the first Garfish of the year!

Next week The Swan Kingsclere sea angling club are looking for a couple of anglers to make up the numbers for their charter on Saturday the 23rd, small tide so possibly offshore anchoring?
The boat is also available on Back holiday Monday the 25th (small tide)and Sunday the 31st for individuals or Charter . Doing individuals on Monday the the 1st of June and the boat is available for charter or individuals on Sunday the 7th of June.

Made the most of a very small weather window this morning and headed offshore for a bit of anchoring.Turned out to be a great day .On the way out we came across Gulls and Gannets diving where we had plenty of Mackerel, plus some nice Pollack and Bass on the feathers. At anchor the fishing was steady with some very big Tope , Bullhuss, Spurdog, Big Bream ,Congers and Cuckoo Wrasse. In the Piscary species hunt the boat tally for 2026 is now 36 top 3 in the hunt

We had 2 matches on the boat again last week. First it was the Friday species league, with 18 anglers on 2 boats , unfortunately due to the small tides, very clear water and stiff southeasterly wind and flooding tide most of the day the fishing was a bit difficult however they managed 17 species between them top 3 on each boat Piscary

The forecast was the same but turned out to be a much nicer day. Decided to head a bit further East for a change had a really nice day , only 13 species but we had some quality fish plenty of decent Bream , lots of very good Ballan Wrasse, Pollack,Smalleyed Ray , Smoothounds, Bullhuss and quite a few nice Bass .

Had the Hampshire Police pairs match the week in Poole 1 practice day and 1 Match day.Nice weather both days but the fishing was a bit patchy. On the Practice day we had 14 species plenty of good Bream ,Red Gurnard, Dab and nice Bass .
On the match day we had 27 anglers on 3 boats top 3 on each boat

Two matches on the boat last weekend.Flat calm seas made for nice easy days out for a change . First we had the latest round of the Lymington and district sea angling club Vernon Everett league , 16 anglers on 2 boats had a steady days fishing . They had 18 species in total , lots of quality Bream and quite a few Plaice which made a nice change, we also had Dabs , Thornback Rays, Pollack, Gurnard and Bass. Top 3 on each boat

First day out for a couple of weeks after my amazing holiday at the Viaduct Fishery!
Nice weather for a change. We were lucky enough to get some Bass and Mackerel on the way out which was a great start to the day, then we did a bit of species fishing plenty of Wrasse. As we had the fresh bait and the weather was good we headed out to the banks for the high water slack where we had Smalleyed Rays,Red Gurnards,Bream ,Congers, Turbot and some nice Brill .

This Saturday we had the first round of the Lymington and district sea angling club Vernon Everett Match fishing league. Unfortunately the weather forecast was very Questionable but we made the decision to give it a go luckily despite the Very difficult conditions the fishing was reasonably good.18 anglers on 2 boats managed to catch 17 species.Plenty of Bream again,a few Wrasse, Pollack,Rays, Plaice, Smoothound,Bass and Bonus Brill .
