Just a heads up if you were planning some Autumn jewellery adventures - many of next terms one day workshops are now full. However, there’s still a space left on the new hoop earrings class, or room to book for a group on the simple rings workshop (the name is misleading I think - you can make stacking rings, chunky bands, wavy, beaded, textured…the choice is yours!)

More of these on my bench today.

We were too busy making and doing to stop and take photos in today’s class! So here’s the end result 😊 A lovely group of beginners making ‘circle’ pendants - although that’s a loose name as they can be geometric, angular, asymmetric, chunky, delicate or interlinked. A bit of everything today - it’s so nice to see everyone’s individual spin on the same starting point. Beautiful work!
It’s nearly the end of term for weekend workshops at the studio. Most of next terms classes are already full, but there a couple of spaces here and there if you fancy joining in.

Sending a big parcel off to Farnham today, including these pendants. Really happy to be part of the Summer Crafts Collection - the show starts at the beginning of July.
There’s some lovely things coming up at the gallery over the next few months.

A few moments from our weekly classes so far this term. A 12 week term gives you time to develop skills and find your own style, and many of our learners return for multiple courses as they develop new ideas.
My background in teaching City & Guilds, BTec and degree level courses means I’m happy to offer a more structured class for someone who wants to cover lots of basic skills, or work with you to refine existing skills if you have a specific goal in mind.
This term we’ve been saw piercing, refining our setting skills, practicing soldering set ups, fusing and salt casting amongst many other things!

If you’re interested joining the September term of classes get in touch to find out more.

**Weekend Workshop Dates**
I know, I know, it’s only May half term - but if you’re a forward planner then the dates for weekend workshops in the Autumn are ready for you! There’s a NEW hoop earring class next term too.
All the one day classes give you step by step guidance in a professional studio, to help you create a special piece of jewellery ready to wear at the end of the workshop. It’s an ideal way to try a new craft, as a bit of creative me-time or as a way to celebrate with friends and family.
Also - for the festively inclined, keep your eyes peeled for Christmas decoration class dates soon!

Beautiful bangles made in today’s beginners class at the studio. Choosing from a variety of different wire options, via lots of stamping and hammering, some soldering and today a bit of forging too! Great to see such a range of different styles from the same starting point.

When the materials are really, really important.
Using a treasured heirloom to create two new rings. This kind of job always feels meaningful and isn’t treated lightly - it’s nice to be a small part of a new story.
