Featherlings is a Portsmouth jewellery workshop creating personalised memorial jewellery by hand using ashes, hair or fur. Choose from ashes rings, necklaces, Pandora-compatible charms, earrings and cufflinks, with up to 12 colour choices and visible or discreet inclusions on most designs. I also make photo, handwriting, fingerprint, breast milk and dried flower jewellery, offer custom engraving, and fit permanent welded bracelets, anklets and necklaces by appointment.

Behind every order I send out, there is a person and a story. This is Oliver’s.

Oliver Paul Saxon was born sleeping on 4 June 2024 at 24 weeks, weighing just 1lb 4oz after problems during Tori’s pregnancy.

Tori and her partner later planned their wedding in Liverpool — the city where Oliver was born.

“I wanted to do something special for my husband-to-be and knew the cufflinks were the perfect idea.”

Tori also ordered earrings for herself because she knew she could not be without Oliver on the day.

I made round cufflinks containing Oliver’s ashes for Tori’s husband, and round crystal earrings containing his ashes for Tori. She put hers in while getting ready; he wore his through the ceremony.

Oliver could not be at their wedding in the way he should have been. But he was part of their day, carried by both of his parents.

Thank you, Tori, for trusting me with Oliver’s ashes and allowing me to share his story. 🤍
