πŸš— Carharrack Speedwatch is up and running!
Our team of 6 trained volunteers has completed its first official session.
Our aim is simple: make drivers aware of their speed and help slow traffic through the village.
We’re not here to catch anyone β€” just to make Carharrack safer for everyone.
Please slow down, stay safe, and treat our volunteers with respect. πŸ™
Together, we can make a difference. πŸš—πŸ’¨

Firefighters are responding to a wildfire at Carn Marth, near Lanner. Smoke is visible around Lanner and Redruth.

If you’re travelling through the area, please take care. If you live nearby, keep your windows and doors closed.

Cornwall is at increased risk of wildfires due to the warm, dry conditions. Please help prevent fires by avoiding BBQs and campfires in the open countryside, taking all rubbish home and disposing of ci******es safely. Never throw cigarette ends from a vehicle.

If you see a fire, move to a safe place and call 999.
