OOTD 🩷

The Chanel-esque look recreated in a hand knitted jacket. Achieved by knitting in linen stitch which is ideal when a structured piece is required as it has little stretch, holds its shape well and forms a dense woven-look pattern. The couture trim was made using a Romanian double crochet cord.

Lucky to have a FO.

A fourth addition to my linen stitch jackets that have been knitted flat and seamed - coco jacket, flat pack jacket number 4.

Back in 2024 I ran out of the Panama 4ply yarn I was using and found it was out of stock. It then went on to be discontinued. Fortunately I must have wound a small skein from the original cone and discovered it amongst my stash so could finish the jacket.

Setting myself a task to get this jacket finished!

I ran out of red yarn way back in 2024 but found a bit extra in my stash to complete the sleeves. I’d intended to add pockets and a red trim but will forgo that and hopefully have a finished jacket soon.

Let’s CELEBRATE 🥳

Handmade birthday crowns using 100% cotton fabric and stiffened with iron on interfacing (2 cm pompoms attached). I made mine following an easy online tutorial by - How to sew a personalised child’s fabric birthday crown. Thank you Molly for step by step directions.

Wearing my recently finished scarf which I’m sure will be a regular accessory in the coming months.

A simple knit on chunky yarn….

Chunky yarn knitted on 7mm circular needles
Provisional cast on 64 sts and knit in the round until the desired length.
16 Icord tassels added to both ends
Tassels knitted on 5.5mm’s.
Finished weight 428g
Finished length including tassels 78”
Steam blocked

Finished….my crochet granny striped blanket 🌈

Apart from weaving in the ends I loved making this multicoloured blanket especially the zigzag border. Next time I’ll definitely be using the magic knot method when changing colours 😂 .

It’s an easy pattern and ideal for making blankets. The colour combinations are endless and especially good for using up mini skein bundles or leftover yarns.

Simple crochet pattern for this cute bunny teether that’s free to download from Ravelry. I added a little collar frill; both made using Drops Cotton Light DK yarn and 3mm hook.
