My drill and I are going on tour 😀
My drill doesn't get to see much of the world! He's generally looking at the same 4 walls 🤣
But today I am taking him (and a spare....because that's prudent! 🤪) to Lancashire for a special, large private workshop!
As I am writing this I realise my drill doesn't have a name! So, I think he's a he (no idea why!).....so, let's see if in the time it takes me to run a special workshop in Lancashire, he can have a brilliant new(/first!) name!

Ps, I might need to get a life! 🤣

My first two lovely atendees for this weekend had booked onto the Saturday with me, but were very accommodating and agreed to move their workshop to the Sunday, so that I could take on a huge private workshop on Saturday in....LANCASHIRE 😳😀

New recycled bead triple-wraps with stainless steel toggles....a new £18 option 😀
We are conscious to always and try and come up with more budget friendly options, with silver prices still high.
These triple-wrap bracelets, that can double as a necklace, are made with recycled, handmade glass beads made from gin, wh***ey and other drinks bottles - created by the very talented Claire Drift-away Handmade. I have then used brushed silver crimps and sterling silver toggles to create this popular design, but at a lower price.
I will keep making more of these and adding them to the website.....currently available in S, M, L options but I can make them smaller or larger on request.

The prep for the C word is real! I know most people hate to think about Christmas too early, but for a business like ours that has products that needs raw bullion ordering, items making from scratch to almost finished state, then items going to assay office for hallmarking, then items coming back to be finished....I'm afraid we are in that zone now!
Mr Seapig has been cleaning and sorting some of our smaller multi coloured pieces of seaglass ahead of a large ring and bangle making marathon!
If you have a commission request that you would like completing before Christmas then end of November will be our guaranteed window to get this done....after this would be less certain.

Subsided workshops for those with an ACC account.
I am very grateful to have been selected by Anglesey Council's AHNE Ynys Môn AONB team, to deliver some of their nature-related workshops this year; all of which are 75% subsidised by council grant funding. On Saturday Seapiglet and I ran a sell out seaglass snowflake workshop, and on Sat 17 October, Sue Tidal Hunter and I will be running our second seaglass box-framed picture workshop from Holyhead Breakwater Park.

Signing up is via the link in comments (that may need to cut and paste), using your ACC login. 3/4 spaces have already gone so be quick to get one of the last few spaces.

I do hope to be included in the next round of funding so fingers crossed this won't be your last opportunity to take part in one of these.

We make a LOT of seaglass bezel bangles....and this summer we made more than ever as commissions, and with clients' own glass.
We love making them, but we had to have a bit of a word with ourselves about how we price them, compared to the rings.
We don't really know why....but we have usually charged less for bangles than rings. It just always felt as though rings were the extra special items that people were looking to really treat themselves with. But it's not the best business approach from our point of view....because bangles are often 2-3 times heavier than rings 🙈
Silver is so expensive at the moment that, although we are trying to absorb some of the increases, and be as efficient as possible, we do have to be sensible and keep a better eye on our profit margins 🫣

As a great new option we are now going to be making bezel bangles in XS, S and SM sizes, in a 2mm width version. These are delicate, beautiful bangles that are totally sturdy in these smaller sizes, but use a little less silver, and hence can be priced a little lower than our 2.5mm bangles.

So, as we add new bangles later this week we will need to raise our prices by £5 a bangle.
There are 4 bangles on the website currently at our old prices....so if you have been umming and arrring about one, then grab it before the price increase 🤪

(Nb: commissions in our book that we are currently working on will not change in price....we are not monsters! 🤣)

Evening all! I've had a big website restock, so there are heaps more items available across a lot of categories....but importantly, can we please discuss how many clicks you are willing to make to view these items! 🙄🤪

You may have seen mentioned on pages from other makers and producers that FB have removed the clickable links as a standard facility for all pages. Now, we get 2 clickable links per month (😳!) unless we pay to join Meta One (or whatever it's called). My first reaction was to stay calm and think 'actually, as a business page, trying to drive potential customers to my website, should I be paying a subscription fee that equates to part of my advertising budget?'. I don't object in principle to paying sonething as a business page, versus personal pages where it's more sharing info and photos with friends and family........however, the issue comes when you take a look at the pricing!!!! I thought maybe £10-£15 a month, I would subscribe to get my clickable links back.....but OMG, even if I paid £129pcm I would only get 8 clickable links per month....and I think to not have to think about counting or budgeting for links it is £419 PER BLOODY MONTH!! What are Meta thinking!?
This kind of pricing is for medium to large businesses, not micro and small businesses like the thousands and thousands of those like me who used to find this platform useful and engaging for their growing business.
I just cannot look at paying those prices just to get my clickable links back.....so....please give me your encouragement, suggestions, general comments on life 🤣....and let me know whether you find it easier to cut and paste the web address that I will still put in my post comments....or whether you will click back to my main FB page and use the link there to my website??

It would just be lovely to see lots of you reaching the website over the coming days, even just to browse.....just so I know that a couple of extra clicks isn't going to put you off supporting us 🙏🙏
