That's us closed now for a little while! We're all a bit knackered so will be taking some time out to recover / get some daylight on our skin. J&R Jewellery will be shut from today at 4pm and will reopen on Wednesday 28th October at 9am.
...a whole 11 days off 🫨🫨

In the meantime, here's another job finished up before we left:

Customers very worn 18ct and platinum engagement ring and an inherited 18ct wedding band to melt down. With that we we made a pair of matching bands and then remade the engagement ring so it all sits nicely together 😁

Our two 18ct band remakes from the other day are all done 🙌

One was made using the gold and diamonds from our customers original wedding ring, the second band we made using the gold from her eternity ring and we supplied 15 x natural brilliant cut diamonds to suit.

It's not a posh gold synchromesh ring for a supercar gearbox, it's going to be his & hers wedding bands in a design requested by our customer. He is a car guy though, so in-keeping at least.

Today I made the 'his' element, and once my thumb recovers from the filing injuries 😅 I'll do the 'hers'.

So, what are we doing with a 45g bar of platinum?.... other than hoping the job goes right first time 🫣

We made a 9ct torque earlier in the year which sold pretty much straight away. The customer likes it so much she's come back and has asked for a matching one to be made in platinum.

This will get polished up tomorrow with the rest of todays jobs 👍
