For some reason I didn't take pics at the start of this.... 🤔 Thought I did?

Anyway, our customer had lost an earring. 14ct yellow gold with diamonds and omega clips. There was nothing we could see in supplier stock to replace it, so it was a choice between making one or supplying a pair of something different..... which she wasn't keen on. She'd been quoted for a replacement earring (in 9ct) elsewhere but I had a better plan for a lot less cost.

In my box of bits I found an old channel set mount. It wasn't the same, but it was good enough I could modify it to create an earring to match within a margin a blind man couldn't tell when worn 😁

The early pics would have helped, but I managed to bend it, make ends to suit and then fittings to create an earring. Not bad eh!

We don't do a lot of silver work in the scheme of things. It's usually not that economical for the customer and with tourist / foreign items the metal can sometimes be a bit tricky. This one however is quite sentimental and has been with its owner for circa 20 years, so it's worth doing. To rectify: Worn out and partially missing box clasp. Fractured and weak tongue section with worn thumb-piece. Missing fig-8s and worn studs.
